“Great location-Needs some upgrading”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2011

Stayed here over Memorial weekend for a Sam wedding. Great wedding rate of $159 for a room which is actually a suite. All the rooms are suites, like the Hilton family Embassy Suites.
Unfortunately Jimmy Buffet was playing Friday night, so the hotel on all sides was real loud during the day! Margaritaville Bar is just 2 blks away.
The rooms were clean, but need updating. The wallpaper is peeling. Wood molding numerous knicks. Small 27 inch flat screen TV. The Bathroom sink drain was disconnected and did not hold water, but was fixed timely with a phone call.
The room was spacious for a standard room. The Beds very comfortable. The staff attentive and friendly.
The sports bar -great food. Chili, Cobb Salad etc. Good selection of draft beer. Jenny great waitperson.
Breakfast excellent, with omellete station after dragging chef out of kithchen,
Free internet and Continental Brkfst. with $5.00 surcharge you get unlimited buffet for Gold members. (Pay $75/yr for HH CC surepass) if not frequent traveler.

Nice and genuine southern hospitality,
Excellent location. Do Not Need car. Walked everywhere, even to capitol in 93 degree weather.
Would definitely stay here again.
Only complaint All Downtown Hiltons need to be updated to be competitive with Starwood's Westins and Sheratons.
Food prices very reasonable. $25 taxi ride from airport.
!0 floors. Tenth floor HOT in hallway and this is only May. Workout room average to below. Concierge cluless.

Stayed for 4 nights and thought this was one of the nicest Hilton's we have ever stayed in! The lobby is grand and newly renovated, the room we stayed in was a suite (and I believe they all are at this hotel) and was very spacious and clean. If in town on leisure and to see the tourist attractions, I would say this is the BEST location, as it is right across from the Country Music Hall of Fame and a 30 second walk to all the honky tonks! If renting a car, valet is offered or there is a public lot right on the same street.

I arrived well after check-in time and had to wait 2 hours for my room. It was a busy day but come on...

Hotel is blah in attitude and personality for it's location. My room was clean but aging and boring (even with an upgrade). The fitness center is a narrow corridor-like room that is a litte crowded at times yet well outfitted with the Precor equipment I have come to expect at all Hilton brands.

The adjoining restaurant/ bar was the saving grace of this hotel. Nice waitstaff and good food - guacamole and chef salad were amazing!

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room

Location is a big part of the appeal here. One block from famous South Broad St, where all of the Nashville rookies are trying to make it big, playing in dozens of bars & restaurants. The hotel itself is very nice, having been renovated sometime in the last few years. We enjoy the room set up which is more like a small apartment. You walk into the living area from the hall, the bathroom is on the left, and the bedroom is away from the door, making it very quiet, compared to hotels where the door opens straight into the bedroom. The huge atrium lobby area is beautiful and clean.

Stayed here 2 nights on business end of March. Our rooms weren't ready as we booked king rooms and they only had double bed rooms available at 1 pm. So we ate at the sports grille which had good food (very large portions). Finally after I kept checking for the rooms to be ready, I went to the front desk to find out why it takes over 4 hours to clean our rooms and all of a sudden the rooms were ready! So at after 5 pm we got into our rooms.

I attached photos of the king bed room on the 4th floor. Nice room and very clean. Comfy bed and nice pillows. Good water pressure in the shower. Towels were also nice. It was quiet at night. Too much light comes into the room from the atrium which is lit all night. Otherwise I slept good. I like there is a refrigerator and microwave and a couch area as all these rooms are suites.

We chose the Hilton for our trip to Nashville, this was our first time to this city. I did my research as far as location and amenities offered and the Hilton seemed to fit the bill. I was not wrong.

The location was fantastic! You are right in the heart of things. One block to Broadway where all the bars/honky-tonks are located. One block from the Country Music Hall of Fame, two blocks from the Ryman Auditorium, across the street from the Bridgestone Arena. We had a rental car but when checking out the downtown scene, we just walked everywhere. We also went to the Grand Ole Opry and The Bluebird Cafe, so we used the rental for that and also to go to the Pancake Pantry and the Loveless Cafe for breakfast.

The hotel itself was very nice, staff was helpful, valet parking was quick and efficient. No complaints. We ordered room service one night after being out on Broadway (I felt like I was having music overload and wanted to eat in quiet..LOL), I had a burger and my husband ordered a French dip sandwich.... both were very good.

The rooms are all suites, which we really liked, they include a living room w/TV, a bedroom w/TV and a large bathroom. The layout was nice because you feel like you had room to move around, the bed was comfortable. One afternoon we came back to the room and my husband wanted to take a nap so he was able to do that in the bedroom while I was able to stay in the living room and watch TV without disturbing him. The room was in good shape and also had a coffee maker, a microwave and a refrigerator.

My only complaint was the location of the room we received. We arrived before the normal check-in time and were assigned a room, which was great. The layout of the hotel is there are rooms all around the perimeter of the hotel with an open atrium in the center. There are several rooms on either side of the hotel where their windows actually face this atrium, so no view of outdoors at all. We had one of these rooms and the location of our room was near the end so when we opened the drapes we felt a little exposed to the people walking up and down the open hallway, so we always felt like we had to have the drapes closed which made the room dark. My husband and I said that a set of sheers under the drapes would have been nice so you could open the drapes and not feel so exposed.

So, nice hotel, great location! If we ever come back to Nashville we would definitely stay here again, we would just ask for a room that did not face the atrium.

Hotel was sold out, but check in was easy, staff friendly, room great. The only problem was the bands on Broadway playing until 2:00 am both nights we were there along with the Bridgestone Center loudspeakers announcing all night long. We were not able to get to sleep until after 2:00 am. Hotel was understanding, but there was not that much they could do. Be mindful of this when selecting your room. Would be great if the windows could be soundproofed. Otherwise, we had a great experience.
