“Great location in Opryland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2009

This hotel is new and great value for money. The rooms have plenty of room, comfortable bed and the bathroom is a good size. The staff is very friendly and helpful and is on hand 24 hours. They offer a free shuttle to take you to the Gaylord Opryland hotel which is a must see. We had a hire car which we used when we went to the Opry Mills Outlet and the Grand Ole Opry and it was only a 5 minute easy drive. Parking at the outlet is free but if you park at the Gaylord Hotel it is $18. Breakfast at this hotel is complimentary and adequate but not many choices. Tea and coffee is available 24 hours in the foyer.

I stayed here only one night, but it was a spectacular time at the Hampton Inn. The rooms have great bedding as well as a plush chaise lounge. The outdoor pool is also spacious and at a good temperature. It was open until 10:00, and it was nice swimming with a few families before it closed. The hotel was built in late 2008, and it is obvious that this property is VERY well taken care of. The location is also great, right near the Grand Ole Opry, the Opry Mills Mall and an outlet mall. Several restaurants are also located near the hotel, including a Bob Evans. I recommend this hotel over the Gaylord Opryland because the other hotel is so huge and this hotel has a more comfortable feel.

My daughter and I came during CMA week. We rented a car..the hotel has the most comfy beds, nice tv....nice size bathroom. in a quiet area.... It was great. My daughter loved the pool, nice saltwater pool instead of all those chemicals. The only problem we had was that we were right next to the elevator which was great at first but then at the end of our trip something was wrong with the elevator and it was very squeaky. We herad it everytime someone used it. But they did offer to move us, as it would be fixed the next day. We didnt though as it was the 7th day of our 8 day trip. We toughed it out, so cant complain. This was an amazing hotel...I plan to stay here again next year...already reserved our room. Thanks hampton Inn... by the way the loacation is awesome, especially after I stopped getting lost.

This hotel is a very short drive (or 20 minute walk) to Opryland/Grand Ole Opry/mall but significantly cheaper than the Opryland resort hotel. It's new and very nice and service was great.

Don't confuse this with the old Hampton in the reviews that was also off Briley Parkway; Hilton sold that one and this is the new one.
Still very new in looks and smells. Modern decor all around. Just north of the Opry Hotel complex with many other hotels and food. Currently vacant on the north side of the complex, found it very quiet.
No bathtub in the bathroom, only shower.

We just got back from our relaxing trip to Nashville. This beautifully decorated hotel is brand new and just opened in November, 2008. A previous reviewer had stated that this hotel is remodeled, but they were mistaken. It is indeed brand new. I wish now I had taken pictures of the gorgeous decor because the pictures on the Hampton Inn website are generic and don't do the the hotel justice. Walking into the aqua and brown geometrically decorated lobby tastefully decorated with musical artwork, you definitely know you are in Music City. There is a lighted guitar statue on the front desk and several of the lobby's tables. A guitar shaped chair sits next to the fireplace in the front lobby along with a sofa and chairs adorned with numerous pillows. There is a second cozy sitting area with another fireplace and a flat screen tv above it. The breakfast sitting area has numerous tables and booths as well as an interesting bar height long table and stools with computer hook ups built in on the top. There is a nice breakfast buffet area and a separate beverage area with coffee and tea available all day. In the evening the smell of freshly baked cookies tempted us to have a little snack while relaxing in the lobby. The rooms were beautifully decorated coordinating with the aqua and brown theme of the lobby. As always, the Hampton Inn guest room furnishings were comfy and inviting. There is also what looked to be a nice sized outdoor pool open seasonally and a work out room. For your convenience there is a business center with free internet access and a laundry room. The staff was outstanding. Everyone of them made you feel like you were a guest in their home. All in all this is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Nashville.

  • Liked — The friendly staff and the decor
  • Disliked — Wished they had an indoor pool and whirlpool.

The Hampton seemed nice inside, but when we got to our room and there was a strong chemical smell. Perhaps disinfectants, perhaps something else. We called the front desk and they moved us to a suite for free without giving us any grief. The suite smelled like a normal room so we were much happier.

The rooms were clean and laid out well and the bed was comfortable. They include HDTV. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is free breakfast, including hot food. The breakfast pizza was excellent.

  • Liked — Helpful staff
  • Disliked — The first room had a strong chemical smell. The replacement was fine, though.
