“Excellent stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

This was our second stay at this Hampton while visiting Nashville. We were there for a week while my husband was working in Gallatin. He normally stays at the Hampton in Gallatin but when I come along there is more for me to do staying in Nashville. This time a friend also accompanied us so I had someone to do things with during the day.

Can't say enough good things about this Hampton's staff. Sunshine - the kind lady who is the breakfast attendant is the nicest person who is as generous with her hugs as she is with the mints she hands out. Every day my friend and I looked forward to chatting with her. Now I'm hoping I get the names right - Katie and Marge at the front desk were so kind and so much fun to chat with. Marge was also the shuttle driver on occasion. We took the shuttle several times over to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. One day we enjoyed looking at the flowers/plants at the Hotel as well as a leisurely lunch at The Cascades. Two other days we got off at the Hotel and walked over to the Mall (only about 10 minutes away).

Remember this hotel IS NOT downtown - it's about a 10-15 minute drive downtown depending on traffic. However, you do not need a car to get downtown. The hotel has a shuttle service they can call - for $10 per person the shuttle picks up at the hotel - drops you off downtown by Margaritaville and picks up there on the hour. Much cheaper than a taxi. We did drive downtown a couple of nights when we met my husbands co-workers, but parking is at least $10-$20 for the closer parking spots. This hotel is a little ways from some restaurants but if you can walk it is definitely doable.

As far as comparing the downtown Hampton to this one, we have also stayed at the Hampton Inn downtown several times. They used to have free parking but since the flood they started charging so the cost of staying downtown has gotten quite expensive. It is nice to stay downtown but if you plan on going to the Grand Ole Opry, the General Jackson or the Gaylord Opryland Hotel you end up driving anyway.

All in all another wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

I am a travel professional and was responsible for the selection of this hotel for my small group. The hotel was highly rated and deservedly so. The staff and management were top notch and the rooms were spacious, well appointed and immaculate. The only concern is that the Opryland area is virtually impossible to navigate by foot, so you are entirely vehicle dependent. No fault of this hotel, though. Absolutely no complaints about this hotel.

The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful. Hotel was clean and affordable. You were close to attractions via shuttle bus. Highly recommend for your family or business trip. If I visit Nashville again, this will be the place I will stay.

Hampton Inn Operyland, Nashville, TN is in an excellent and desirable location. The rooms are very clean and nice. The beds are awesome. My only problem with this Inn is the price of the stay. It was not worth 40,000 Hilton Honors Points based on other Hampton Inn's and what the points per stay are at those locations.

This is comfortable place to stay while visiting Nashville. The staff does a nice job here especially Sunshine, the breakfast attendant. The breakfast was very good - spotlessly clean, nicely stocked and well presented. Usually the hotel breakfasts are just not that good. Here they offer eggs and meat as well as lots of other choices. The rooms were also comfortable and clean as well. The beds were great with nice bedding and pillows.

The location of the hotel is in a suburban location which was kind of a turn off for us at first. It IS a drive to downtown and we encountered heavy stop and go traffic a number of times. If most of the things that you want to do are downtown, you might consider staying there instead of at Opryland. It IS within walking distance of the Opryland Resort with their gardens and restaurants, if that is where you want to be.

Only real thing that I would change are the styrofoam dishes in the breakfast area. I wish they consider paper products instead.

Stayed here in April 2013 for four days while vacationing in Nashville. The staff were GREAT! Great central location for all things nashville...about a 15 minute easy drive to downtown. Very close to everything Opry....lots of restaurants nearby...close to Opry mills outlet shopping. If you need or want to be close to downtown then stay downtown...otherwise I would come back To this property again...good breakfast in the morning....property was well kept, clean .... Free parking....you won't find that downtown.

Nice clean rooms, friendly courtesy staff, excellent location, next to the Grand Ole Opry and Opry Land Mall. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay close to the mall or Grand Ole Opry. A very pleasurable stay, and I plan to return for any of my stays in Nashville.
