“The Best Hilton Staff I've Ever Encountered”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

In the last 15 years, I have traveled fairly extensively (within the continental US). I'm a Hilton Honors member ... so I prefere to stay at Hilton-owned properties wherever I travel. In all this time, I've never encountered a more helpful, considerate, and friendly staff than the group of folks currently working at this particular location. I mean everyone ... from the front desk crew, to the housekeeping staff, shuttle bus drivers, breakfast staff, ... everyone single staff member was amazing. I'm talking 15-20 people. I just couldn't get over it. Believe me, I have enjoyed just about every single Hilton property I've ever stayed at ... but the people at this place are truly special. They each went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. My wife and I took our daughter and three of her friends to the Opryland area to celebrate her 18th birthday ... and staying at this Hampton Inn was the highlight of the trip. I "highly" recommend anyone wishing to stay in the Opryland area to consider staying at this Hampton Inn. You won't be disappointed.

A great location if one wants to visit the Grand Ole Opry and area. The shuttle bus service was great and convenient to visit the the Grand Ole Opry and outlet mall etc. The bed and bed covers were comfortable except we agree with another reviewer about the sheets not fitting properly and the mattress "slipping" around on the box springs. The complimentary breakfast was mediocre. I would suggest that they consult with the Drury Inns on cooking scrambled eggs. Since there was no in-house restaurant, a Bob Evans restaurant was in walking distance-good cheap food.
The shower tap could have a stronger spray.

Room Tip: Our room was on the second floor. The fact that that the hotel is off the street, there is no distur...

Just completed a 3 night stay at the Hampton and really enjoyed the stay. This hotel is very close to the grand ol opry and is about 10-15 minutes from downtown and the honky tonks on Broadway...the staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and big. It's set back quite a ways and therefore is very quiet. Would definitely stay here again next time I am in Nashville!

Stayed here for 2 nights and had a good stay. Rooms were spacious and clean. The only minor issue was the shower could have used a little TLC. The locations is very good and staff was excellent. Price was a little higher than some others but depending on what your plans are the location has value.

We took the hotel shuttle to the Opryland Hotel for a late dinner (9pm) on Friday night and were given a card by the driver and told to call when we were finished. We called at 10:30 and were told no shuttle service after 10pm. The man on the desk was confrontational and blamed us for the predicament. After walking for 15 minutes in the cold we found a taxi back to the hotel. Man at the desk wanted to argue. Sunday night we returned after a day of sightseeing and found our room keys didn't work. Same person at the desk blamed us again. Spoke to the GM on Monday and she said she had heard from the desk person and a guest that we had been drunk! No such. Hadn't even had a drink on Sunday and only one each on Friday night. Very poor customer service here and not the least bit interested in hearing our side of the story. Be ready to take a breathalizer at this hotel if you have a complaint.

Everything we usually hope for was nice in this hotel. The breakfast was especially fun with the cute "singing hostess" who authentically made everyone feel welcomed and at home. The desk staff were so helpful in suggesting the restaurant and what to do in Nashville. Things were clean and the beds comfy, but Hampton has taken "environmentally friendly bulbs" to an extreme here. No other Hampton we've stayed in has had such blue-blue flourecents in every lamp. The room was spooky and dark. We spoke with management and they said it was hotel policy. Yikes! A flashlight is needed to read. 'Too bad.

They may claim clean duvets for each new guest, but they should work on cleaning the bathroom and the dust under and around all of the furniture. The room was habitable but not worth the 30,000 points per night.
