“Great location and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The hotel is in a great location if you are willing to walk a few blocks. It's close enough to Broadway but not so close you can't get away from it. We were able to walk to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Ryman Auditorium with no problems and felt very safe even late at night. As far as the hotel amenities go, the staff was very personable, room was very nice with a spacious bathroom, soft robes, nice Molton & Brown shampoo/cond, etc. The only negative was that it was a little loud early in the morning.....I think because it is an older building the walls aren't very sound proof. The crowd did seem to be a bit older so also may not be the right place for a younger group in town celebrating bachelorette's, etc. Overall, great experience and I would def stay there again!

Great location and lovely folks. Being in this hotel is like stepping back in time, without loosing modern conveniences. Frette linens, a pillow menu, large rooms with beautiful furnishings. Quiet too!

This is a very sweet hotel. The lobby is beautiful and the hotel is in excellent condition. The staff is helpful and professional. Our room on the 5th floor looked out over the Capitol building. Nice room, with a spacious bathroom. We were there in the middle of a wedding and several other events, but we never felt crowded or heard any noise. Oddly, they don't have cotton balls/shower caps anymore, but I did appreciate the slipper turn down service and they were great about asking when to clean the room and having it done in the requested time. I also enjoyed the pillow selection.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor, overlooking the Capitol

We were hear from a large conference, and everything was spectacular. From the food to the service, every detail was looked after. The staff remembered my name, my company and what my role was during this conference in Nashville. They were always happy to assist with any request large or small - true five star service.

A special mention must go to Brad in guest services who worked several miracles to get my guests playoff hockey tickets (something that is almost a necessity for Canadians). Thank you!

The rooms are massive, and have all the amenities you could possibly require. Nashville itself is not very large, but the hotel is in a great spot where you can walk everywhere yet aren't surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Broadway.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Nashville (the cost may seem high - but it is 100% worth it) because you get the historical and southern charm of the city, while still being able to enjoy the essence of "Music City"

I am posting this review many months post-stay at the Hermitage. But every time I stay in a different hotel I wish it were more like the Hermitage. I can only provide positive remarks about this hotel. From the door man, bell man, concierge, to the other staff (including housekeeping) everyone went out of their way to ensure that I felt at home and had everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I love the fact that the hotel is on the historical register and the renovation ensured that traditional and historical elements remained intact. The service was superb -- greater than the Omni's in fact. I had an incident at lunch at the Omni where a waitperson dropped an entire tray full of lunch entrees that had a barbeque sauce. The sauce spilled all over my winter coat. The Omni staff stated that they were happy to pay for my dry cleaning but that I would be without a coat in the dead of winter for at least two days. This, to me, was unacceptable since my hotel, the Hermitage, had same day service. They agreed to have the Hermitage clean the coat and me submit for reimbursement to Omni. I cannot stress enough that the level of service you will find at this hotel is old fashioned and above and beyond the "corporate norm". This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and I look forward to staying there again.

I stayed 6 nights at the Hermitage while "playing tourist" in and around Nashville. My 4th floor room looked out on the State Capitol and the War Memorial building. Every evening I viewed black clouds and rain but every morning was at least almost dry and I got through a 6-day visit without putting up the umbrella. Noticed that the rates vary a great deal, depending on day of week. If interested in economy, avoid Friday and Saturday nights! My room was lovely, all hotel services were performed promptly and accurately, and the concierge is the best I have ever met. This woman knows her job - and far beyond that! Food is better than average but dinner choices are a bit limited. If in Nashville again, I would stay here. It has 5 stars and 5 diamonds and seems to still be earning them with excellent service.

Room Tip: Ask for room with view of the Capitol. All rooms are very large.

The hotel is modest in size when compared to modern structures but the room are extremely nice. Bathroom was large and well stocked, bed was very comfortable, and decor was elegant. Exactly what you would expect from a high end facility. Service was excellent, staff was warm and gracious. Food was superb. If you like to be treated well, and can afford it, this is the only place to stay in Nashville. Really! It is walking distance (3 blocks) from music row, the arena, galleries, etc.

Room Tip: The rooms farthest from the elevator are very quiet.
