“Outstanding Service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

While on a business trip my husband wanted to surprise me with an early anniversary gift. He booked a night at the end of the conference at the Hermitage. Everyone was helpful and the service top notch! The room was beautiful and it was very quiet so we got the much needed rest.

The New year buffet was wonderful. Quite an assortment at the carving stations. The beef and turkey were moist and delectable. Sides were terrific as were the desserts. There was excellent valet and table service. I will return next year.

The Hermitage Hotel, Nashville, TN is one of the most enjoyable places I have stayed in a long time. The staff is world class and the ambiance is incredible Whenever I go on a business trip, my wife usually prefers to stay home rather than sleep in a strange hotel room. Whenever I go to the Hermitage, she always has her bag packed and is ready to go spend the night in this beautiful, historic hotel that is situated in the heart of Music City - just a few blocks from music row and steps away from the Ryman Auditorium. Overall, this place is fantastic.

This was a very, very nice hotel. Great location. Great service. Friendly, helpful staff. Good sized rooms. Just not sure it is worth New York, London, or San Francisco prices - and weekend rates were much higher? Zero hotel complaints though. First class all the way. Not big so not crowded or busy. Very quiet. We were on 8th floor. Restaurant on lower level was also very good, but again seemed pricey for Nashville. You can walk to Broadway in 10 minutes which is very handy. Downhill on the way there is a lot easier! We will probably be back because my wife liked the Old South charm.

The Hermitage is a classic gem offering good old fashioned service with southern friendliness. I stayed here 2 nights and can thoroughly recommended this historic hotel with modern facilities. The front desk staff were exceptional as were the concierge, doormen and housekeepers. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant and bar service needs to add a little class and perhaps a sophisticated maitre'd would add that final touch. Well done guys!

We just returned form our second stay at the Hermitage. The first visit was early December and the elegant hotel lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas with a large Christmas tree and a roaring fire in the fireplace. The rooms are very nice, the staff is friendly and accommodating and the room service is very good. The hotel is centrally located; a short walk to most of the sights and across the street from the performing arts center. We returned for Valentine's Day and were hit with a severe winter storm with caused our flights to be cancelled. Again, the staff at the Hermitage was very accommodating and let us keep our room for an extra night. We spent the afternoon in front of the large fireplace, provisioned with cocktails from the downstairs Oak Bar and finished our snow day with a nice dinner in the Capital Grille. I love this property and will return whenever I am in Nashville!

Such a beautiful property. The staff is very polite and professional. What I loved most about the hotel was the huge room! Aside being very spacious, the room was clean, well organized, and very well decorated. The vanities in the bathroom were in great shape. Great shower too.
A big closet, a small safe-box.
The room had a very comfortable bed. The pillows however were a little cheap but luckily they have three different kinds of pillows in the closet. Their turn down service is great too, although the service never came on the second night (no, I did not have the privacy sign at the door)! Also, the cleaning staff had taken the minibar key on the second night; I just didn't bother asking for another one.
Ordered room service a couple of times, the food arrived hot and on time. It was delicious, both times!
Great afternoon snacks in the lobby: hot apple cider and homemade cookies on the days I was there!
The gym, though small, still provides a great space for a quick workout.

I am taking one star off for the breakfast. The breakfast is served at the Capital Grille downstairs and in the morning the smell of old grease from the restaurant is very overwhelming! The Wi-Fi is free but the signal is very spotty. Also, in the middle of the night (3 am) I could hear metal banging and it was very annoying. Didn't hear it on the second night, the noise was back on the third night.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. If I am ever back in Nashville, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Rooms with the view of the Capital are great!
