“Excellent choice for downtown”

This property is within walking distance to many of the restaurants and attractions. Even if you took Uber or Taxi it's a couple of bucks either direction. The service is fantastic and the property overall is modern and up to date. My observation is the property is older and they did a remodel. The rooms are ample size and beds/pillows are above average. The A/C is quiet and plenty of closet space.

The bathrooms are very small, but unless you demolish it, they have to work with what they have. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a great location and reasonable cost.

We came to this hotel for a bachelorette party. It was a big room: two queens sized beds and a pull out couch. We had enough room for the girls to have their own sleeping space. The people were moderately friendly, it varied from person to person. We called several times about towels, and they did finally get us some. We had a backed up shower, and they were very quick about coming to fix that. We also blew a fuse (lots of curling irons and blow dryers, ya know!!) and they were very quick about fixing that too. We had a second room, but they were unable to put us close to each other... the second room was a non smoking room but smelled very strongly of smoke. They did accommodate those girls and move them.

They have a free shuttle, but the driver was very rude and grumpy. We were out and about, and when we called to get picked up by the shuttle, they agreed to picked us ALL up. It would have to be two trips. The driver picked up half of our friends, and when we asked for him to go pick up the other half, he basically said no. When we got a manager involved, he picked up our other friends, but he was a grump about it. How nice to have a shuttle, we thought, but it was uncomfortable to take and so we stopped using it completely.

It was nice to have a Starbucks inside the hotel. One less place to have to walk in the morning. The hotel is in an okay location, questionable business around. Close enough to walk to Broadway, but it is not well lite. Took taxis a short distance back at night because it was questionable looking in the daytime. (good information for you women)

Stayed here for a wedding and to start Rooms not ready still after 4 pm and I booked 5 rooms and they wanted to split us up on different floors. not everyone was offered cookies. House keeping didn't always stock or restock coffee, bottle water ect. Staff at front desk area was very polite.

This was our third visit to the Double Tree during CMA Fest. This year was a little disappointing. The staff is wonderful knowledgeable and friendly, however this year there were not enough staff to accommodate the guests. Check in was slow, rooms were not ready when promised. We were told we had to take a 5 night stay as opposed to the 4 nights in previous years, the should have had enough staff to accommodate us. Rooms are small but very clean. There isn't a refrigerator in the rooms which is hard to believe as even motels at much cheaper prices have one of those. The dinning room was a huge disappointment, previously we had enjoyed it so much, not sure what happened this year. Service was extremely slow and I had to send my food back. Hope they figure it for next CMA Fest.

I really enjoyed the staff, they were excellent in all regards, helpful, great at directions and very friendly. The only real drawback I had while there for 5 days was I really wanted a mini fridge in the room.

I stayed at the Double Tree downtown Nashville for a wedding last weekend. I was the matron of honor, but traveling with a 2 month old baby (and my mom to watch the baby). I requested a crib and a fridge with my reservation, and confirmed it twice before my stay. The crib showed up no problem, but the fridge was a problem. The fridge was a huge necessity because I was traveling from Portland, OR with several bags of frozen breast milk that would be needed while I was at wedding activities through the weekend. Front desk said "your room is ready except the fridge.. it's on it's way" when we checked in. 2 hours later I called and they asked if I'd be willing to switch rooms - I already had baby napping in the crib. After several hours and several phone calls and talking to 2 different people who claimed to be manager, the fridge arrived barely in time for the breast milk to be saved. I even had to call from the rehearsal dinner of the wedding to get it taken care of.

Tiny, shabby rooms; no fridge or safe in room; not quite clean bathrooms that are so small you have to stand on the toilet to close the door; horrible bed. This hotel is far overpriced for what you get. This is by far the worst Doubletree I have visited. We ate at the restaurant in the lobby one night, and it took well over an hour for sandwiches to show up.
