“3 night stay--exceptional staff, close to everything!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

The Doubletree in Nashville is great! I recently stayed there Oct. Oct. 17, 18, and 19th. The rooms are clean, great beds, close to most of the major attractions, great value, and can't say enough about your stupendous concierge Kevin!! You have an exeptional employee with this man. I say this as my fella and I were on a fourteen-day trip of the U.S. We stayed at seven different hotels. This place stood out. About Kevin, he went the extra mile and snagged us tickets for the General Jackson Tour, gave me GREAT shopping advice (even SHOES), waited on hold for us several times calling a cab and shuttle for us. All of this, while demonstrating great patience and juggling other people's needs at the same time. He is a true asset to your company. Carrie Laisner-Portland, Or

I booked a junior suite with two double beds for my sister and I. The room was larger than a normal room and the sitting area was nice. The bathroom was tiny and the ceiling was peeling. The rooms needed to be updated, not the decor but everything was falling apart. The corner of the room had actual mold on the ceiling. The bathtub constantly dripped. Walls are very thin, so be prepared to hear the maid service in the morning and your neighbors closing the doors. Overall, the room was average.
The service was below average. I found some of the front desk staff to be down right rude. We checked in and the woman never mentioned the breakfast club that I paid for. I did find that when I went back down to ask about it they were nice and accommodating. But whenever we had a question about where to eat or asked for a recommendation for something, they stared blankly at us. The Concierge was not on duty on Saturday? If the concierge is not on duty, I would think the front desk staff could make some recommendations? The valet staff... asking them to get you a taxi was a difficult task for them. They lost another couples task for 30 minutes!
I also recommend you skip the breakfast. It was horrible! Runny eggs and a 15 minute wait for an omelette to be made. There weren't very many options and I would rather have saved the money and gone to the Starbucks.

The Doubletree in Nashville is a well run property 3 blocks from all the hustle and bustle of downtown Nashville. Like many urban hotels it lacks a spacious lobby/hangout area but that is fairly typical of hotels in cities. Service is good. Rooms are clean. Furnishings are updated. Bedding is comfy, lots of pillows with varying densities for high-maintenance sleepers like me. There is a free-standing Starbucks inside (not a little kiosk that "proudly brews Starbucks coffee," the real shebang). No problems, no hassles, all good! I will stay there again, as it is hard to beat the location for the price.

Arrived on Thursday, October 11 for a sporting event. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Shout out to the concierge Kevin! Rooms were clean and housekeeping showed up every day. There were a few days when the room was made up late but it was our fault and not housekeeping's fault. Furniture was a tad bit nicked and showed signs of usage by hey, let's face it folks, the same wear and tear occurs in our homes! Breakfast Club Breakfasts were very good and the staff were extremely courteous. Valet service and staff were the best. Service was excellent considering all of the pro and college football games that were going on this weekend.

A four to five block walk to the action on Broadway. LP Field was roughly a 12 minute walk. Riverfront Park within walking distance and also the Ryman.

Don't know what some of the other reviewers are fussing and nit-picking about! I would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family if they ever have the opportunity to go to Nashville.

I booked two rooms at this hotel for a convention in town. Upon arrival we were treated very well and received a warm cookie. We booked a king room and a room with 2 queen beds. The room wtih the 2 queen beds was a decent size. Our king room was on the corner and it was literally cut in half. There were only two of us so we figured we would manage. But it was very tight and on an angle. Sleeping was difficult (and that is very rare for me) but we were very close to the elevator area and the walls were paper thin so we heard every person coming and going. And there were many people coming and going - late at night and early in the morning. Another issue we had was that it felt "seedy" walking from the hotel to the main strip where the bars were. We usually stay at the Renaissance and the walk from that hotel to the strip is much nicer and cleaner. Unfortunately, we did not get a great feel from this hotel all in all and will go back to staying at the Renaissance next year.

Room Tip: As to be located far from the elevators!

We came to Nashville to celebrate my 2 daughters birthday. This was the only hotel available for that night. I now understand why they had rooms available. We booked this room in order not to drive after a night out in downtown Nashville. We arrived back at hotel around 2 am and proceeded to our room. We had not shut the door good when security knocked and informed us we were too loud. They had had problems on that floor the night before and they would not tolerate it again. This escalated to the point we finally packed our bags and left after no help from the night manager. We paid out $339.00 to party in downtown Nashville and have a good and safe time. Little good that did. Horrible experience for all involved and would not recommend this highly overrated and overpriced hotel to anyone! Very rude staff!!!!

Room Tip: Don't choose a room here at all.....they are very rude!!!!!!

We stayed here for two nights and no serious issues except that the indoor pool was really quite cold! It took about five minutes to be brave enough to get in!

We mentioned it to the front desk but they didn't seem too fussed.

Valet parking is standard with the inconvenience that brings, the valet team were pretty good, however.

We were given breakfast and so became part of the 'Breakfast Club' this meant that we had access to a decent hot buffet and cold selection but we had to go in a room at the back and it was all a little odd with the staff watching TV or texting as they had little to do, it felt intimidating as if they were watching us, the second morning we asked to be seated in the 'a la carte' area and it was less oppressive.

Location is good, only a five or so minute stroll from all the action at night and they seem to be working on the decor and furniture inside.
