“Fantastical lights with the Munro exhibit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Saw the Bruce Munro light exhibit on a cool misty night and it was a perfect experience. It was like walking through a fantasy with thousands of creative flickering lights. We thought "Midsummers Night Dream." You have to see it to understand it! Glad we saw it!

The museum had some delightful and fun modern art pieces.

“Beautiful Gardens/Limited Art Selection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

My wife and I are happy to be members at Cheekwood. The gardens are beautiful, and at least one visit each season is a must. The collection in the art museum is limited, but it's worth seeing while visiting.

“Mansion, gardens and Munro light installations were unique!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

We wanted to see and experience the Munro exhibit at night, so we arrived at 4:30p.m. We did a quick tour through all the gardens and the mansin itself.....rested at the Frist Learning Center where there was a continuous video about Bruce Munro, the artist and the process of setting up his installations at Cheekwood. We then checked out the gift shop and lastly retraced our steps to see the creative light installations in the various gardens. This overall plan worked well. We were there for 3 hours! The Mansion itself and its exhibits of art and chinaware were as special as the gardens!

“Beautiful Gardens, Interesting Mansion, Art & Sculpture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

Expansive, beautiful and varied gardens, many styles, well presented, great for a stroll on a nice day. Gardening staff was very engaging, happy to answer questions and tell us about some of what they were working on.
Walk in the woods with multiple large sculpture installations quite interesting. Art exhibit in the mansion was innovative and interesting. Unfortunately were not able to come back in the evening for the Munro lights exhibit.
