“Well worth the time.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

This plantation is very interesting to tour. The mansion and history are quite interesting. They have a small cafe, gift shop and include wine tasting.

“Beautiful estate and tour. And lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

A nice tour with an good young guide. You get to hear and see the history of the familes and the mansion. Plenty of time ask questions and to take a walk around the estate after ( or before ) the tour.
Good way to get to know ( a part of ) the history of the deep South.
The wine tasting afterwards is nice, if you like sweet wines. No worries, the wine makers are not pushy to sell you their wine.
After the tour, don(t hesitate to have lunch at the restaurant: good food for a reasonable price and served with a smile!

“Fabulous, Incredible, Wonderful, Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We love this spot. The grounds are gorgeous. The size of the holly bushes in front of the mansion were enormous. The tour was really good. We enjoyed learning about the old stud farm and horses with history to the plantation. The free wine tasting at the end of the tour was nice enough that we bought 2 bottles. Proceeds go toward the upkeep of the property.

“Wedding in the garden”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Grounds were very well kept and the stable house was also very clean. Loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch of the plantation main house. Would recommend for someone who wants to get off the beaten path in Nashville

“A Nashville Gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Belle Meade is indeed a gem for Nashville. It's a great place to see how the wealthier people lived and learn how family traditions are kept ... and lost. It is also a wonderful place for school kids to learn about the history of the area and to experience life in the 1700 and 1800's.
