Went to the late show of the Opry on Saturday, May 10. Charlie Daniels and Carrie Underwood were part of the show that evening. I like the different agenda of the show because it is a radio show. Seeing lots of performers for about 3 songs is refreshing. I went alone because my friends were not in town yet, but it did not matter. While waiting in line, I had many conversations with people.
Two tips for attending: 1) Go early. The parking is a nightmare. The parking lot is shared with the mall (right by the movie theater) and some that go to the hotel. Because I went on a night with two shows, the cars from the show in session were already in the lot also. 2) Be prepared to wait outside until the doors open. Nashville can get hot through the evening and seats are limited - away from the door area.
