The Parthenon is one of a kind and is a must see while in Nashville. Centennial Park where the Parthenon is housed is a beautiful park and is located not to far from the heart of the city (Best to rent a car). The facility itself is two floors and is closed on Mondays and is open Tuesdays through Sundays. There is a $6 admission fee for adults and reduced fees for children and seniors, but is so worth it. The complex has a mini museum which chronicles the history of the Parthenon in Nashville/ its significance and also houses splendid works of art ranging from American to mythological (which was my favourite). On the second floor is the crown jewel of The Parthenon, the statue of the Greek goddess Athena in all her 42-foot glory. The sheer size and brilliance will whisk you away to Greece and make you forget you were ever in Nashville.
