“Comfortable stay with extremely friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Stayed for two nights while attending a preview day with our daughter for Belmont University. We were exhausted after an 11-hour drive, so were very happy to find a front desk/bell staff that was friendly and helpful in getting us into our room and then on to a great nearby restaurant for dinner. Several staff members went out of their way to help us find a nearby store to buy jeans (weather was cooler than we had expected!), and the shuttle drivers were prompt and very friendly. Loved how clean and updated everything was -- and beds were very comfortable.

Stayed here for an over night stay this month. Location and value were my main reason for booking. Overall it was a comfortable stay. I suggest parking your own car and avoid the valet. The parking deck is next to the hotel and easy to get in and out of.

Staff is friendly. The hotel lobby is clean. The room was nice but had a room facing the main road, which was very nosiey late at night. Had to call the front desk at 3am on a drunk neighbor. The desk apologized and the problem was quickly resolved.

I was here for a concert. The shuttle at the hotel took us to Bridgestone Arena, so that saved us on parking nightmares. We took a cab back for $6. Easy, cheap and well worth any traffic hassels.

If I stay here again, I will request a room away from the main road.

Stayed in Nashville visiting our daughter who moved back to Nashville after 2 years in Colorado. Even though it was "move in" weekend for Vandy and a bit hectic, the folks at the Courtyard were super friendly and helpful.

The property is well maintained, with a fresh lobby, nice pool and comfortable rooms. Location is central to Vanderbilt and close to Hillsboro Village, 12-South as well as downtown.

A pleasant stay.

Room Tip: We were in a higher floor in the the tower away from the lobby, a bit quieter than the main elevator...

Have stayed at this hotel about 5 times because of its close proximity to Vanderbilt University which my daughter attends. At first I was totally happy with the experiences at the prices paid. With the Marriot rewards card I often stayed a nitght free with the purhase of another. I recall having paid $118 or so for the paid night. This August I wound up paying over $300 for two nights and that was with a $89 Orbitz credit I had applied.. Marriot changed their point system and upgraded this hotel to a higher rating so I was unable to use any points during this stay. The number of points needed at a mediocre hotel is ridiculous.
Marriot did do a total upgrade to its lobby and adjoining area...however it was in sad shape and was sorely needed....very worn and dirty furniture. But why do I need to pay so steeply for a lobby upgrade? All in all its still a modest hotel.
My daughter is graduating in May and I have made reservations at a different hotel with a higher rating at a coparable price.

Room Tip: Don't get the kings-sized bed. For some reason it seems rickety and youcan feel every twitch fro...

I stayed at this Courtyard for my first time in Nashville, and I would stay here again. The hotel is very conveniently located. It is walking distance to a variety of restaurants, bars and Vanderbilt. Also staff was very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable enough for the price i payed. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for average comfort, awesome location at a normal price.

I stayed at the Marriott Nashville Vanderbilt/West End hotel in Nashville while Summer NAMM was in town. The room was very average, small with 1 King and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable (as far as sofa beds go).

The sink was outside of the bathroom, but was very small. The tub drain didn't work so well so I was standing in water for the 2nd half of my shower.

The fitness center and pool were nice, though small.

The lounge area was very popular later at night, with a young crowd.

The hotel is within walking distance of a couple of nice (low key) restaurants, which is a plus.

I would possibly stay here again, though it would really depend on the rate I could get.

This is definitely not the nicest Courtyard I have stayed at.

PROS
Nice lobby
Friendly/helpful staff
Good location

CONS
Rooms are small and a big dated. Bathroom sink has virtually zero counter space
Towels are terribly thin and small.
Rooms felt run down.
