“Not Recommended - Safety Concerns”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

The overall condition of this hotel is not great, but it is also a budget motel.
Having said that, I rarely write reviews of places but want to warn other travelers. My partner laid down to go to sleep when he felt something poking him in the back. On one half of our king size mattress there was literally exposed broken and jagged mattress springs poking out of the mattress in about 5 spots.
I alerted the manager Mr. Patel the next morning to request a room switch (which he gave us) and asked for a partial refund, to which he granted us 25% off one night.
I do not expect anything fancy staying at a 2-star hotel but I was very disappointed that something that so clearly violates general safety procedures was trying to be passed off as acceptable.
I would not recommended to friends or family to stay here.

Stayed there half a day as part of a group reservation, we weren't expecting much from a Super 8. We did a preliminary sweep of the room in the afternoon for bugs, as the hotel is gross, and found nothing. Coming back into the room at night we spotted a bed bug. Killed it immediately and the carcass was lost on the carpet. Alerted the front desk who was defensive and refused to give us a refund until we found 2 more behind the headboard and showed her. After that we received a refund and went to the Days Inn next door, much nicer and worth the extra $20 to not get bed bugs!!!!

Also in a not great area of town, a few minutes down Dickerson Pike there seem to be several trailer parks. Wouldn't go so far as to call it seedy, just not nice.

Room Tip: DONT ... but if you have to stay here be sure to check for bedbugs behind the headboards, they shoul...

We were tired, it was raining, my son has an affinity for Super 8. So we went in. The young woman at the front was nice and assured us the motel is under renovation but had no real issues. The wifi never worked although we asked repeatedly about fixing this situation. The linens and mattress/boxspring were stained, burned. The refrigerator freezer was packed with undefrosted ice, all was yellow and had burn marks. The hallway was stained badly. I hope we don't get bugs from this place; I did check but you never know....

DO NOT STAY at this hotel unless it is the only one left on the face of the planet. The hotel was dirty, smell like an ash tray, bed sheet was old/dirty/ripped/smelly, no amenities in the room except towels. Carpet look like it was just picked out of a dumpster. Mattress feel like a roller coaster at 6 Flag. Staff was horrible and rude. Breakfast offer nothing but cereal and couple toast. Unfortunately they took out money in advance and only offer a refund of 50% when we want to cancel our reservation at check in. We stayed at Super 8 many times before and was satisfied. Super 8 corporate management need to audit this hotel, this hotel is the reason people stay away from Super 8. AGAIN, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
