“Loved”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Over the years we have stayed at several Wyndham resorts but this one was the nicest one yet...
The property is close to The Grand Old Opry, The General Jackson Stream Boat, The orpy Mall The Gaylord Hotel and lots of little museums. Its in a very quiet area very little around it and is easy to find.
We had a one bedroom with full kitchen and laundry. A pull out couch and two door access bathroom makes it great for two couples. The shower/flust/sink in one area and the jetted tub and another sink with access from the bedroom in the other. The color of the place wasnt something that I would like at home but what the heck alittle orange and brown didnt kill me...Everything was clean and modern.
We had a balcony over looking the pool and were surprised it was so quiet at night plus they do have an indoor pool too..There are elevators and hotel carts so moving in was easy..

Dislikes..

-not alot of parking we had to park at another building a few times
-they asked if it would be ok for a resort rep to come to our unit to explain all the things available at the resort and to give us some valuable coupons .....naw.....Times Share Salesmen!! we just said no..
-the kitchen was fully stock but they didnt provide tea or a kettle...they had coffee and a coffee maker so bring your own blend and use a pot..

We stayed here for a cousins reunion. There was a little confusion with check in.. we needed a handicap room and we hadn't been given one.. after quite a bit of running around we got into the room we needed and life was pretty. The one bedroom suites have a king bed and a pull out sofa bed..

Something that had blown my mind is they had workers cleaning every single piece of balcony bars, top to bottom even underneath.. The property is well taken care of. The rooms have kitchenettes in them, however, the closest grocery is about 5 miles away. Only fast food option around was a McDonald's however didn't have a bad meal in any of the local restaurants.

The grounds are beautiful !! Although on vacation that means little to us ,as we tend not to stay on the grounds. We read you could walk to the Opry.. in perfect weather ..yes . if it's a beautiful day you may offend the person sitting next to you ,as Opry seating is rather close. Could never rate a "RESORT" 5 stars that has no mid-week maid service, i take out the trash at home but at the price i would expect some in room service without asking. All in all if you want to expeirence the Nashville scene ..stay downtown.. Gaylord opryland is a beautiful place $20 to park is a little out there so do walk there ,on a full stomach $18 hamburgers will do you in. And lastly ...AVOID
the whole welcome thing ..buy a 4 dollar umbrella before you get there and you are ahead of the game, just a lead in timeshare salespitch. If you have RCI weeks definately stay away !!! Also do the General Jackson W/O the dinner ... show was great food blah go to Cock of the Walk for catfish and shrimp first.

My wife and I went with another couple and had a great time at the Wyndham Nashville. The rooms have been recently renovated and are very nice. The location is great if you want to visit the Opry Mills Mall, Opryland Hotel, and the Grand Ole Opry. Downtown is about a ten minute drive and there is a nice back way that will keep you off the interstate and avoid traffic. It takes you right to Broadway, which is where the bars and music will be. The one downfall is finding parking or at least cheaper parking anyway. The convenience of a downtown hotel would be the place to park and be able to walk to the Broadway area. We didn't have a problem finding parking any day we were there, but usually had to pay about $10/day.

The rooms are very large and have very comfortable beds. The master room has a whirlpool tub beside the vanity in the bathroom area and the toilet and stand up shower are in a separate room off the bathroom. The second bedroom was very large and had two double beds and the bathroom and shower were in a separate area closed off by a door. They had a washer and dryer in the unit as well. The living area was well furnished and large. It had a couch, two chairs, a flat screen tv. The kitchen was very modern and also very large with a separate dining area off to one side. I was very impressed and very happy with the accommodations and couldn't find anything to complain about as far as that goes.

Check-in was a breeze. We did come in around 8:00, but we were in our room within ten minutes and we got the room we requested. Top floor, corner room, in a building near the amenities building. Once again, couldn't have been happier with them fulfilling our request. We were originally put on the first floor, but after reading several reviews about the noise of people in floors above you, we called on our way down and we were moved into the room I described above. I had originally requested the same thing and it was not given to us, but by calling on the way down, things got done. I thought that was very nice. The only issue we had was with our washer draining one time and withing fifteen minutes a repair guy was in our unit and had it fixed within the hour. Very good customer service. We were also not pressured by any sales presentation, but I am not sure how we got lucky on that one.

We used the workout room and even thought it is small, it had adequate equipment for us. There are two bikes, two treadmills, and at least one arc trainer. There may have also been an elliptical, but I can't remember. There was a set of free weights for lifting as well. The indoor pool was being used since it wasn't real warm when we were there and it looked fine as well. I didn't go see the outdoor pool, but I am sure it would be nice to use during the hot summer months.

The resort had shows several times during the week and had a bunch of family/kid activities as well. Some of them required reservations and others did not...some cost money and others did not. We were busy outside the resort doing tours, concerts, shows, etc. so we didn't attend any of the events at the resort. There is so much to do in Nashville that we weren't able to fit it all into a week. We did the Nashville All-Access Pass which let you choose four places to visit out of sixteen choices for $50/person. I thought this was a pretty good deal and was able to save you some decent money.

While you're in Nashville, if you like the honky tonk scene you have to check out the bars on Broadway...especially Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Legends, Honky Tonk Central, Rippey's and Whiskey Bent. They will all have talented musicians most any time. There is also a new rooftop bar open at Rock Bottom Brewery that is worth the visit on a nice day. The beer there is okay, not a huge fan of their brews, but worth a try on the rooftop. We also checked out a show at The Grand Ole Opry, toured The Ryman, Studio B, and The Country Music Hall of Fame. One day we took a trip out to Franklin, which was a nice drive, and also to Belle Meade Plantation, which was a cool trip. They have a nice tour of their Plantation Mansion and you can walk around their grounds and see the out buildings there. There are a couple wineries and breweries in town if you're interested in taking those in too. One of the coolest things we did was the Tin Pan South Festival, which is a songwriters festival. They have eight venues that host two shows a night...this year was the first week of April. Four songwriters are on stage together and play an acoustical show and they are amazing. If you don't know much about the songwriting circles (which I don't) then you don't recognize many of the names, but when they play, you realize these are the guys and gals writing for all the big name artists in country music and are responsible for all the popular songs we hear every day. It's really a cool experience and sometimes a popular artist pops in and plays too. We saw Jake Owen at one and Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum at another. If you are there during this festival, take the time to catch a couple shows, but be prepared to show up early and wait in a line for the bigger name artists.

Overall, we had a great trip and did several things while we were there that were a great deal of fun. I love this city and the resort was icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend the resort to families, friends, couples, etc. I don't think you will be disappointed with the units, amenities, service, or location. I think you could go and enjoy your time at the resort even if you didn't go out and about on the town, but as you can see, I would highly recommend touring around several of the cool places to visit here.

Room Tip: Request and top floor and if possible a corner unit.

Wyndham Nashville is a fantastic place to stay while visiting Nashville. Location is @ 5 miles from downtown which turns out to be a great location.Within 1 mile of the Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills . Several good resturants and a few good Honky Tonks close by. Guest services is AWESOME, we used them to help facilitate some of our transportation needs, which i would recommend if going downtown in the evening. Wyndham staff was exceptional, Sherell ,Andrew and Nicolaus all provided 5 star service and hospitality.

Just returned from Nashville TN where we stayed at the Wyndham Nashville Resort. The property was very clean, beautifully landscaped and rooms very spacious. I had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, full kitchen, washer & dryer as well as livingroom & dinningroom. The only thing negative was that you could hear the people walking in the unit above us which kept us us late at night and up early in the morning. The mattrass on the king size bed did need to be replaced as sunk in the middle. I did let reception know about this and they wanted to take care it right away but told them to wait until we left. Reception and Concierge were very helpful everytime I had questions and were very knowledgeable about the resort as well as getting around Nashville. The location was within walking distance to The Grand Ole Opry, General Jackson Steamboat Dinner/Show, Opry Mills Mall and Restaurants. Downtown was a happen' place, lots of restaurants, bars, bands and the Bridgestone Hockey Centre. The hotel also had day trips that you could plan right from Conceirge. We did make it to Graceland in Memphis but just note that this is 3 hrs away but what a wonderful place to visit!

Room Tip: Get the upper floor units as they may be quieter

Great Place. We had a one bedroom unit, plenty of space and very clean. The location was perfect almost next door to the Grand Ole Opry (a must see). Try one of the activities at the resort the line dancing (instructor Debbie she was a real hoot, lots of fun). If you are a history buff a must see is the Hermitage Andrew Jackson's home. It is not far from the resort.

Great Place to stay.
