“A great place with lots to do for the family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012 via mobile

Let me start by saying that we exchanged our timeshare points to stay here, so I can't really say anything about the price of the stay. But given our goal to keep costs under control for the week that we stayed here, this resort was great for our family of four (mom, dad, a 9yo, and 2yo).

First, the rooms...we were in a two-bedroom deluxe, which had a room with a king bed, another room with 2 full beds, two full baths, a jacuzzi tub, full kitchen, dining table, living room with pullout couch, and balcony. The full kitchen had everything you need to prepare your meals... all we had to bring was the food and condiments/spices. They provide dishwashing powder for two washes, so you may want to bring more. There is a small washer/dryer in the unit...again you get detergent for two washes, so if your family/kids go through clothes like we do, you may want to bring more. There were three televisions and one dvd player in the unit.

The unit that we were in was on the second of four floors. Everything looked pretty new.... I do believe that the first 2 floors did flood a few years ago, so that makes sense. I didn't see the third or fourth floor units, so not sure what they looked like. We could definitely hear people on the floor about us, especially late at night, so that was one thing I did not like about having a floor above us.

With the kids and wanting to keep costs down, we definitely wanted to take advantage of the various activities at the resort... And even though we were there during Thanksgiving week and there were less activities than usual, it was still great. Some activities had a small fee (build-a-bear and ice cream sundaes) but most were free (line dancing workshop, country music trivia, bingo, family scavenger hunt, and swim game). In addition to a couple of outdoor pools and one indoor pool, there is a playground, basketball hoop, a small fitness room, both charcoal and gas grills, and a place to play horseshoes. You can also checkout family games or rent dvds from the front desk.

The resort was right next to the Grand Ole Opry, the Opryland hotel and Opry Mills Mall with easy access to interstates for getting around Nashville.

We brought our own dvds and food, took advantage of the resort amenities and activities and had a great (and very affortable) vacation. One of the best and most comfortable resorts we have stayed at!

The best thing about this Wyndham is that they actually understand customer service! In my experience that is a rarity in the Wyndham chain of time shares. This Wyndham offers a fun "welcome" party/event and has a variety of activities available; the concierge really does her/his job. The units are nice and roomy and very attractively decorated. The only complaint I had is that my one bedroom unit was a "lock off" and I could hear everything going on with my very noisy neighbors through the locked off door. When I requested another room the staff tried very hard to assist me but all the one-bedrooms have the same "lock off" door. Yet all the staff I encountered showed me true "Southern Hospitality" and made my stay a pleasure.

Room Tip: As mentioned above, try to get a 2 bedroom without a lock off door.

We stayed here for a week in a two bedroom two bath while getting the oldest settled in for college.
The "master" side was spacious & has everything we could possibly need . The double shower & jacuzzi tub was a plus.
We enjoyed coffee each morning on the balcony overlooking the pool.
The other half of the suite was not quite as big but being for the kids was perfect. They also has their own mini kitchen along with a washer/ dryer .
The doors between the suites was the common two door flip lock that enabled extra privacy . The plus was although each side has its own exit door , the teens sides key would only work to get in the main living area ... This no fear if sneakers if you want that kept in check .
Not much to do on the property other than the pool & gym. You couldn't do much walking due to the many warnings of poison ivy but it was true to the music row theme with hedges designed to be music notes ... Just watch the poison ivy !!!
Anything worth seeing is a short drive away
The Opry house , etc .
So if your staying a few days or more try to get all of your groceries at once .

For a traveling group of three, the two bedroom unit we stayed in was in one of the buildings that had not been renovated for a couple of years. It was one of the larger units (some of the newly renovated ones are smaller) and while there were some nicks in the paint that appeared to be from visitors running luggage or luggage carts into the wall and the bathroom fixtures were beginning to show a little wear, the furnishings and carpets were clean and the kitchen appliances were in very good condition.

Room Tip: Some buildings do not have elevators and the second bedroom are twin beds vs. full size.

They did a great job taking care of us. TONS of things going on just check with the concierge!
They had lots of activities planned that you could par-take in for a very reasonable price or FREE! The accommodations were PREMO! They bend over backwards to accommodate their guests. There is sooooooooooo much to do just with what Wyndham arranged.

Nice 1 BR unit for a week on a timeshare trade. Third floor walk up in one of the first buildings in the complex. Slated for addition of elevators come January 2013. Newly redecorated and renovated unit, spacious and capacious, comfortable king bed, nice little kitchen. Living room area is laid out kind of funny in relation toTV. Need a car to do anything around Nashville. Not the best of our trades, but very nice.

We stayed in a two bedroom deluxe for a quick 2 night stay Sunday-Tuesday. Check-in was fairly simple and since we are already owners I imagine that's why they didn't bother with the usual timeshare sales speeches. There are 20 something buildings so the fact that they just draw you a little map and send you on your way is a little off-putting. I asked and received for a top floor room (4th), so it was in a nice quiet back corner which was nice. The room was huge and could easily sleep the 6-8 people it recommends. It was also very clean which is always appreciated. Other than that though there was nothing that jumped out to give this more than the three stars. The furniture, carpeting, and bathrooms are all very out of date and old with the bathroom fixtures being in gold which has not been done since the 80's. The jacuzzi tub did not work the first night although it turned out to just be a breaker that was promptly fixed the next day. Though a deluxe room it did not have some of the amenities that I have seen at other Wyndham's in the deluxe and higher rooms, such as a stereo or even an ipod radio. The facilities in the summer might be nice but the indoor pool and gym were very, very small and not really in a convenient location unless you are in a building right next to them. The staff I met were nice. To conclude it was an adequate room and an adequate stay; nothing more or less. This is not a resort of any kind in my estimation, merely a roomy hotel.

Room Tip: The Two bedroom deluxe was huge and could easily sleep 6-10 people depending on age.
