“Excellent choice for a family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

This is a clean, modern hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly or heplful. We were traveling with a child and 3 adults so the queen 2 room suite was perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us and privacy. There was a sofa bed in the "living room", and a separate 2 queen bedroom. The free breakfast was a very nice perk - my daughter especially liked to make her own waffles. The pool is not heated, so it was a little too cold for me, but the area had tables and chairs with umbrellas for gathering. The workout room had ear buds to plug into the treadmills so that everyone could watch the little attached TVs. A taxi ride to Broadway, downtown costs about 10$. Parking downtown is pricey, so taking the taxi may be a better option. There are resturants in walking distance, but for the most part you do need a car to see all of the attractions in and around Nashville.

We recently visited out daughter in Nashville, a recent graduate of Belmont University. As we have so many times over these past four or five years we have stayed at the Hampton Inn on Elliston Place. Once again, another great stay! We love Nashville and we love that hotel! (But we love our daughter more.)

My family and I stayed here twice due to proximity to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and availability of kitchenette. While the room is pricey, you can get a better discount if you book directly and can show proof of an appointment with the hospital. Cleaning staff were great and front desk personnel were adequate.

The staff here is very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and the hotel was close to Vanderbilt. The only drawback would be the size of the room we had. Very small room. Breakfast was fine but wasn't the best that I have had at a Hampton Inn. I would definitely stay here again.

All and all it was very nice and the front desk staff was amazing. The only issue that I had was my room key stopped working several times each time I went to the desk they knew my room number and my name. Finally they sent a maint. worker back to my room with me to clean the lock and the problem was solved.

This hotel was not in the best of areas we thought at first, because we were so focused on just the city. But it turns out your behind another main road that is not in a bad area. You are also right next to the university. The hotel itself is very nice and well kept, very clean. The breakfast is good, the oatmeal is amazing. The pool was fantastic, we used that for a couple hours and have the burn to show it, use sunscreen!!! It was so tranquil and peaceful!!!!! The room's were great, very comfortable! I slept like a baby every night that we were there!!!!! It was so hard to get up because we were so comfortable!!! The rooms were also very clean and modern. The only thing I'd recommend is if you like music in the room, bring your own ihome because they have an old radio in the room, which still works, but it's limited what channels you can pickup. The staff were accommodating, but we did not find them very customer service oriented. When we needed something they would bring it, but otherwise the staff, especially at the front desk weren't very friendly. Didn't need to pay for parking so that was a definite plus. Overall, a very good stay and I would stay again.
