“Spacious Suite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

This was a nice hotel near Vanderbilt University. The room was quite spacious with kitchen, large living area, free WiFi, very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom, plenty of water pressure, clean. Easily accessible. Plenty of parking in fenced lot. Breakfast adequate. Steakhouse next door. Lots of construction nearby. We were warned there would be blasting nearby after 10 AM and indeed there was. I thought perhaps it wouldn't be as pricey due to that fact, but it was. Would stay again if in the area.

This hotel was a very nice surprise regarding its level of sophistication, service and amenities. The place looks sharp, the rooms are nicely appointed and clean and the staff was uniformly helpful and cheerful to us (particularly Becky at the front desk). Nice beds, roomy bathroom and the room had a fridge and microwave as well. Always good to have the on site free breakfast to save time starting a busy day. Just a five minute trip over to Belmont University where our daughter will be attending and only a few minutes more to downtown or the airport. We plan to use the Hampton regularly as we visit Nashville over the next four years.

Room Tip: As of this writing, there is construction going on next door, so you might request a room on the sid...

We made reservations late into a busy hotel weekend in Nashville and were concerned that because we found rooms here, it might be because it was a less than desirable property, but we were very pleased with the comfort of their beds, crisp, fresh bed lines, up to date bathrooms, and hot breakfast. The free internet was a plus and it was just a $8 plus tip cab ride to downtown. The staff were friendly and efficient.

I booked a room with a kitchen for an extended stay. On arrival, there was no dishwasher detergent, and the three drinking glasses were dirty. There was a single bowl and two plates, also not fit to eat on before washing. There was little silverware and two pots which were new in the 70's. The in-room coffee is abysmal. To their credit, when I asked for pots, three freshly washed (they were still wet) were brought up to the room. When I called guest services to see about extending my stay for a night, I was put on hold for over 5 minutes. I hung up. When I later asked at the front desk, the person who helped me was less than enthusiastic. Suffice it to say that I am not staying an extra day. Other than the kitchen issues (which is why i wanted the room in the first place) the room was clean. The televisions are just awful. I dont know if it is because the feed is analog and the TV's are digital or vice versa, but watching the Stanley Cup games has been like watching colorful blobs moving about on the screen.

Room Tip: There is construction on the eastern side for the foreseable future. Rooms on the west side are qui...

We stayed June 1-3 while our son attended a Vanderbilt camp. The property offers free parking, wifi, and breakfast and is within walking distance to Vanderbilt. Our room was clean and attractive. We had a wonderful weekend. Christy, the manager, suggested excellent nearby restaurants and Angela did a great job with the breakfast service. We were impressed with the friendliness of the front desk staff and appreciated the late checkout on Sunday. Overall, an impressive hotel...

Room Tip: We stayed on the top (7th) floor and liked not having anyone above us.

Stayed there often in previous years but this was first visit after a long lapse. They have updated and modernized so everything is fresh and contemporary. We occupied a king suite for two nights while the hotel was very busy. The place easily accomodated a full house while maintaining responsiveness to guest needs. The breakfast was typical for Hampton Inns.
We would stay there again.

We routinely stay at this hotel when visiting Nashville. They have recently completed some updating of the lobby and it is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean as usual. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
