“good place to stay downtown”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2009

Stayed here for 3 nights. The reason I marked value low was because of the valet parking. The first night I took my car to the parking garage at the downtown renaissance and walked back. The valet parking at the courtyard was $22 plus tax and then a tip. I was going to park in one of the parking garages by the hotel but both were full (on a late sun evening with no big events downtown I really doubt it). This was the only thing I didn't like. My meetings were at the convention center so it didn't take long to walk there so this was fine.Short walk to 2nd ave. Room was nice and big. Tv was great.

We have stayed in downtown Nashville countless times but this was our first stay at the Courtyard. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a very nice valet guy and then once inside, we were welcomed by probably the most friendly and personable front desk lady we've ever met. Our room was clean and large and the bed was very comfortable. You can't beat the location if you are wanting to walk to all the downtown attractions. We enjoyed our stay and would definitley stay here again.

My stay at the Courtyard in downtown Nashville was excellent!! I have stayed at several Courtyard properties and this is one of the most upscale Courtyards I have visited. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious with many upgrades. The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and the valet was always quick. I will definitely be staying here on a return visit. You will not be disappointed!!

My intentions were not to stay in my room but rather to be out and about. It was very convenient for us to be downtown. Great location, quiet, clean and comfortable.

Everything about this hotel is perfect (location, cleanliness, quiet) except you pay extra for about everything.

Breakfast buffet was $10.99/person (not included in room rate of $129). We ate at the buffet the first morning due to not finding any other place this early in our trip. The hotel also does not tell you about breakfast alternatives which we found after walking within a very short distance of the hotel. Panera is at 5th & Commerce. A crepe place (called Krayps) is right next door beyond the Subway sandwich shop. Both of these breakfast alternatives beat the hotel buffet hands down. The Krayp place is excellent and is in the $5 range.

Valet parking is $22/night and you are not given good direction as to where self parking is. (The hotel does not offer self parking and the only other alternative is to park in a parking garage and pay a lesser fee.) After we had checked in and was walking around downtown, we saw parking garages for $12 or $15/night which is within a block of the hotel. The area is VERY safe to walk to the honky tonks which is only two blocks away.

This was our first time to Nashville and I would probably stay at the Courtyard again but would seriously consider the Hampton Inn which we saw is about the same distance from the honky tonks.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott downtown which we got on Priceline. It was a superb hotel; simple efficient check in and we were given a disabled room which was huge. The facilities were perfect for our stay in Nashville and it comes highly recommended.

This Marriott is convenient for all you want to do in downtown Nashville. The room was clean, though not much of a view, as can be expected on the 2nd floor of a downtown hotel. The problem was really with the service. We arrived early, as stated on our itenerary when reservations were made, and the staff made no attempt to even see if a room had come available. After waiting in the lobby ~1hr, we asked again, and the staff reluctantly gave us a room. It was still early, but we were able to go to our room, which was nice. During our stay I was unable to ever reach the front desk by phone. I called multiple times at various hours of the day and always had to resort to trekking down to the front desk to ask my questions. If you aren't worried about service, then this is a great place. The valet staff was excellent. If I were to vacation here again, I would stay at the Marriott next to bicentennial park and pay to drive my car downtown avoiding the parking and valet expense. Its really not even too far to walk from there downtown. You will pay to park downtown, but if most of your time is spent in the areas surrounding downtown, the valet cost isn't worth it. Also, the internet (ethernet connection) was incredibly slow.
