“nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

Overall very nice place, rooms are modern. Bed is good and rooms quiet - no hall noise or problems there. Stayed for 3 nights for a conference. Would not have stayed here otherwise due to price. Takes about a day to figure where everything is. The restaurants and bars are way way overpriced.

A visual delight. Beautiful interiors, gardens and water features. We did not stay here and did not want to pay the $20 to park in their self-parking garage, so we parked at Opry Mills Mall, by the theatre and then it is a short walk over to the delta area of the Opryland Hotel. When you are only going to spend an hour or two inside walking around and taking it all in, it's a rip off to pay $20 for their self parking garage when you can walk right over from the mall for free.
Christie's Cookies is the best place to get a snack. Great cookies, desserts and muffins!

We arrived on a Saturday morning at nine in the morning after a long drive from Wisconsin. At check in we thought we would be told to come back later in the afternoon for our room but to our surprise we were able to check in right then and there. The resort is very clean and refreshing with a nice atmosphere for all types. Lots of business, couples, and families and the hotel suited them all very well. The location is fantastic and just a quick exit from the interstate that is impossible to miss.

There is much to see at the resort but the layout is very confusing and it is very easy to wonder around lost trying to find restaurants, exits, etc. I have been to many Vegas resorts and got the layout down pat after day two. However, this resort layout still had me confused even at check out. I would recommend this resort to family and friends.

This place is enormous and I can see why people would get lost finding their rooms. Although we didn't stay there, we did get to walk around the Atrium. It was amazing with the waterfalls and dancing waters and you could take a boat ride on the canal that ran through the whole place. It definitely is a must see. They have several restaurants from pizza and hamburgers to steaks. It is certainly worth the trip there to see the architecture alone.

I came in a day early for a conference to enjoy a bit of the Nashville experience but was very disappointed in this hotel. I don't understand how people can afford this hotel on there own - it was almost $11 bucks for a small coffee, banana and granola bar for breakfast.

The complex was massive, maps confusing, and the restaurant food average to below average. I ate at Fuse and was served chicken wings still dropping with oil. Overall, service was slow and unimpressive.

Rooms were ok size and clean but mine was "garden level" and I looked out on an atrium palm tree and had minimum natural light. I felt like I was living in a cave. Shuttles to town run frequently but again, come at an extra cost.

Great access to the Opry but I would suggest other accommodations unless traveling for work. Oh, and due to no fault of their own, taxes are very high in Tennessee. So be prepared for 9.25% - 14% premiums on food and alcohol.

I stayed overnight at Opryland last month. This place is huge and loaded with eye appeal throughout with fountains and gardens that take a back seat to no facility this side of Las Vegas. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The staffing seemed to be inadequate. Not a bellman or valet in sight at the motor court. A long wait at check in. The room, while nice, had what appeared to be graffiti on the walls. Maintenance had attempted to cover, but not a very professional attempt. Overall, I will say that I didn't have much of an opportunity to experience all they had to offer. But I saw enough to opt for elsewhere next time I'm in Nashville.

It is a shame to call this a hotel because it is so much more than that. It's all you need or can ask for under one roof! You never have to go outside. Whatever the weather is outdoors, you experience the same temperature within this indoor oasis. At least three different hotel areas on the property (Cascades, Delta and Magnolia). I was booked in Cascades which was nice and comfortable but I think it was the oldest of the others. Great restaurants and friendly people. If you love Cracker Barrel, it is across the street. There is a huge shopping mall right next door. On the property there is a boat ride which takes you around the hotel. There are beautiful waterfalls, flowers, trees (orange, avocado, lime) amazingly beautiful. People were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit again. It's a great place for a wedding!

Room Tip: They have rooms directly across from the elevators. Can get a little noisy. Make sure to ask when...
