My wife and I stayed in St Arnaud on the weekend at the Old Convent. We ate at the Farmers arms on Saturday night with my cousin who recommended it.
We were told there is a new owner called Bruce. Make sure to say Hi.
The dining area has an open fire and seats about 40 people, although I am told there is additional seating in another room.
They had a good menu with a lot of choices. I had the Beef and Reef, my wife ate prawns and my cousin had a steak.
We were all impressed with both the quality and the pricing. The servings were generous and I was quite full.
The presentation is a little average, but that aside it is an excellent pub for a meal.
If you are in town I would recommend you try this pub, we will certainly be going back.
