“Great for the kids, but too pricey.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

It costs 15 per adult for the tour, way too expensive in my opinion. The kids had a great time with the interactive activities, but the novelties are mildly entertaining- at most. Most of it is simulated, which is a let down, I really thought there would be more demonstration into choccolate making. Spend your money on better things.

“Mediocre”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

At $15 a head we avoided the factory tour. The cafe was very average, coffee is poor. Hot chocolate was so sweet even the kids complained.

“Liked the renovations!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Panny has made certain significant changes to the museum side of its factory since the last time we visited (2 years ago) to our delight. The museum now has more interactive activities for children (to keep their attention). Well worth visiting if you have not been since the renovations.

The cafe has limited menu items. But it is nice to have the option to relax your legs and enjoy some hot/iced chocoate or chocolate fondue after the visit.

I could be wrong, but I found the chocolate store part to have decreased its variety (to my dismay). there were many empty shelves.

“Pretty Average!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

I expected the chocolate factory to be better. A few of the machines needed fixing, and I believe their website makes it sound a little better than it actually is. For example, the 'make your own chocolate bar' attraction turned out to just be a vending machine at the end of the tour which gave you a choice of white, dark or milk chocolate, and another choice of adding strawberry, wasabi or cola to your chocolate. Clearly these bars were pre made inside the machine, and I believe the website was misleading in that sense. Also the gift shop and cafe were unreasonably priced.

“Extremely disappointing rude owners & NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Stopped in at the Cafe prior to entering the chocolate factory (over the school holidays) 3 mums, 3 kids & 2 babies cost $90 for lunch which we didn't mind as the Food was nice! One of our babies grabbed a plate off the table which fell to the floor & broke, we were then confronted with the supposed owner who very rudely requested we pay $3 for the breakage! No questions if anyone was hurt and also insulted us by suggesting we should control our children better ( an accident by an innocent 12 month old!!) We suggested they put up a sign to advise they were not family friendly and their prices did not allow for the occasional breakage. In all my 44 years of travel have I never ever been so disappointed at such poor customer service or rudeness anywhere! Obviously we didn't go into the chocolate factory and hand over another almost $90 in entry!!
These people do not deserve any customers with such a poor attitude to those who keep them in business!!!!!!!!!!
