“Brewtifull way to spend a few hours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2012 via mobile

Great folk and some of the best ale you will drink anywhere. A big claim, I know, but take that from an ale-o-philiac. Pizzas great if a bit on the $$$ side. A must visit spot for all visitors about to explore the Peninsula.

“Hidden Gem on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

We first visited the Mornington Peninsula Brewery on its opening day and have been back very regularly since. Having been a regular visitor to the Red Hill Brewery I was very excited to learn of a craft brewery opening in Mornington.

I was a little underwhelmed when we first pulled up at the front of the brewery in the Mornington industrial estate. However, that soon changed once I walked through the gates. Fantastic setup internally with an industrial feel. I find it interesting that people have commented that it feels cold or that the perceive the industrial feel as a negative. You are in a working craft brewery unlike some breweries that have a small brewery on site and with most of their beer brewed off-site.

The staff are more than happy to arrange a brewery tour and they have quite a thorough knowledge of the brewing process of each of their beers.

Depending on what day of the week you visit the brewery you can expect a different feel! It's quite typical to get people dropping in for after work drinks on a Thursday or Friday evening and the range of clientelle is diverse (in a good way!). The vinyl nights on a thursday are great with the public encouraged to bring in their old vinyl records to be played.

The weekend's bring in a lot of visitors to the Peninsula as well as a lot of locals. It's very normal to see young children at the brewery on a weekend especially on a sunday when their is live music playing. With Todd Cook and Danny Burton (roots / blues) being my personal favourite regular muso's! Todd has headed off to Scotland for a year or so but Danny is still playing solo!

Now for the important part!!! THE BEER...
The MP Brewery team pulled of a coup by landing Andrew Gow as their head brewer! The team have a release a great range of craft beer and AG has proven that he is not scared to through flavour at his beers. Do expect big malty or hoppy beers and you definitely will not find any weak or watering beer served up here!

My personal favourites include IPA, Pale Ale, Brown Ale, Porter and big Imperial IPA!

To top it off make sure you grab one of their wood fired pizzas and the bases are made using their own beer!!!

“great Food and fresh Beer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2012

If you like your beer fresh from the brewery in the brewery than this is an experice for you. You get to see where the beer is brewed and can enjoy a wood fired pizza at the same time.
