“Don't stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

Arrived late to the hotel and about to get into bed when we found the bead sheets were dirty. Stains on the pillow cases and Ben linen. The staff was very attentive and changed us to another room however, the heater sounded like a truck in this room, the tap next door which had no one in it would keep going off all night and the radio went on full blast at 6am!! Someone did come eventually to turn it off however we had to listen to it for over an hour. For what we paid and what we got, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We cancelled the test of our weekend here and went elsewhere.

Boiled vegies no effort in making food taste even average. Very thin steak. If possible limit visit to end of week a couple of alternatives are open then the golf club and take away in main street. This is a very small and isolated town so choices are few. Stayed in rooms on another visit they are average country pub standard better alternatives the silver bream or blue wren motels for a few dollar's more. Great town for a quiet holiday particularly if you like fishing or some bushwalking.

We ventured into Mallacoota and ended up in this hotel/motel. Room was good sized, clean and affordable. Not really very much more to say about this place than that the people were freidnly and informative.

If you want a classic Aussie location Mallacoota is still HERE!!!. Flew there for a weekend. Publican picked us up from the airport & dropped us back, offered to keep the kitchen open when we were running late. Give it a go!! Go to your closest General Aviation Airport, charter a flight & have a weekend like you have never had before. A great weekend!!

We stayed in a superior room which was obviously recently renovated. It is nicely done and clean. I was worried about noise from the hotel but other than a few voices it was pretty quiet - maybe as for a room away from the hotel as I suspect not all rooms are as peaceful!

Staying over the Christmas break means you get the peak rates - and $160pn did feel very steep but then options are limited.

We got room 14, very nice, fresh painted clean modern, new cupboards, hot shower, soft towels, cuppa tea and coffee, new tv, heater great. Bistro had great meals:)
Someone reviewed meal cost same as city meal?? Well food probably cost more in country towns and people probably get paid equally if they do a good job? Why should country food cost less?
Mallacoota was a lovely little town:) will return:)
