“We'll be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2012

We are frequent visitors to the BIG4 Holiday Park in Inverloch. We've enjoyed many stays in our caravan and in cabins. The Park is very family-friendly with loads for the kids to do including the jumping pillow, indoor heated pool, tennis, basketball, indoor games room, outdoor chess set, playground, etc, as well as fun activities run on and off-site during peak periods. The Park offers great facilities including a large camp kitchen and new BBQs. The Park is secure and is very quiet at night. The staff are friendly and always accommodating and we feel most welcome every time we stay. The staff and management are very professional and most informative when it comes to local knowledge and suggestions for day trips in and around the area. Inverloch BIG4 Holiday Park is located a short 10 minute walk from the centre of town, and we enjoy walking or riding our bikes into town for a coffee and bite to eat or to wander the shops and grab a few groceries at the local supermarket. The local boutiques, galleries and markets are well worth checking out too! Anderson Inlet, located just outside the Park, is a great place for a safe swim with the kids or a walk at low tide where the sand flats stretch for miles (plenty of room for beach cricket!). Given Inverloch is just a short 1-1.5 hr drive from our home in Melbourne, it is within easy reach for a weekend getaway. We love Inverloch and the BIG4 Holiday Park, and will continue to visit for many years to come!

We stayed for the first time at the Inverloch Big4. When you go through the main entrance there is a definite Wow factor, but that's where it ends. For 2 adults and a child we paid $86 / night for a powered site. We paid extra for a large site as they felt our Jayco Dove wouldn't fit on their normal site, so off to the very back of the park. The closest men's toilets only had 2 cubicals and so small I had to manouver myself in to shut the door. They looked and felt like a public toilet. The only other toilet was at the very front of the park. They were bigger but 6 cubicals. That's only 8 mens for the entire park. To be shared amongst permanent vans and campers.
The main road is bitumen and most of the others are gravel and pebble. Campers are squeezed to the roads edge. Understandably children gravertate to the bitumen to ride their scooters and bikes and trips to the bathrooms. They need to compete with moving two way traffic. Vehicles, towed vans and pedestrians. The other gravel, roads running parallel to the main road have near to no traffic.
Bottom line is that thoughs around me with children where very anxious and all witnessed near misses.
Some one way traffic management and bitumen would elevate this problem.
Decent toilet blocks are important when choosing a park. I hope this is high on the managements list.
I have been to many parks that offer a lot more for $20 less at the same peak periods.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at BIG4 Inverloch Holiday Park. We greatly appreciate all feedback and will take your comments into account in developing our park facilities and policies.

At Inverloch we try very hard to provide a quality park experience to all our valued guests. We are proud of our range of guest facilities from the new indoor heated swimming pool complex to the large camp kitchen, jumping pillow and playground, tennis court and a games room.

We offer a range of sites for caravan and camping guests and try to meet the individual needs of each guest. These facilities are continually being improved. We have recently built additional ensuite (private bathroom) sites and have opened up extra sites for guests with larger vehicles and tents, as well as regular grassed powered sites.

I am sorry that we were not able to satisfy you with your location in our park. We have had some very positive responses from other guests, especially those with large caravans, motor homes and family tents. The larger sites are located further back in the park where the access to sites is easier and where we can better cater for equipment that is longer, wider and expandable. Many of our guests on these sites have their own in-van bathroom facilities and we provide shared facilities for those who do not. However we appreciate your comments about access to larger amenity blocks from these sites and will consider this in our future planning.

Road safety is an extremely high priority to us and something on which we spend a great deal of time with our guests and staff. We have speed limits and bike safety rules within the park. Safety information is stressed to all guests on arrival and emphasised by our staff around the park grounds. We also have speed humps, speed limit and other warning signs throughout the Park. We urge guests to drive responsibly within the grounds, limit the number of vehicles per site to keep traffic to a minimum and emphasis to parents the need for diligence.

We appreciate that you were aware of this priority and hope that guests to all parks will be as diligent in watching out for other guests and children when driving in our and other holiday parks.

Thank you once again for your feedback

I stayed in an ensuite cabin which was comfortable & basic. The only problem was I was not aware that linen was needed. I was not told at the time of booking or at checkin. So the first night of my stay was not so pleasant. However, linen was supplied the next day once I had reported my problem. That aside the park is located around a 10 min walk from the town centre. It has all that a young family could want with playgrounds, indoor pool, & other fun things. Security is great.
Again I was travelling for work & the cabin suited me as I was able to spread out a bit, cook myself a home cooked meal which was welcome after a couple of weeks on the road.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at our holiday park, we appreciate you taking the time to provide your comments.

We were disappointed to hear that your first night was not pleasant due to not having bedding. This would have been uncomfortable and not the way we like to hear you spent your first night at our park.

We regret that you were unaware that we have an after hours bell at reception and provide 24 hours service and we were therefore unable to provide you with bedding earlier.

We are always reviewing our service provided and are happy to say that we will be upgrading all of our cabins to include bedding provided on all of the main beds from the 15th April 2012.

Thank you again for your feedback.

We all took our kids and the facilities are excellent. Jumping pillow and new indoor swimming pool were fantastic for toddlers. Deluxe 2 room cabins were spacious and clean. We all stayed beside each other and wanted to have group dinners which we did in the large camp kitchen area. The stoves in camp kitchen are electric and very slow to cook on, we end up having to take our spaghetti back to our cabin to cook it on gas. Also the microwaves in camp kitchen didn't seem to work. In saying that all facilities were clean and well looked after. A 10-15 minute walk to town on a new walking path is great and Inverloch as a town was great and still seemed abit beachside quiet. Loved it, great place

Overall our experience with the Holiday Park was very good.
My husband and I stayed here in an ensuite cabin for one night as a base before heading to Phillip Island for the bike races.
The cabin is nothing fancy but has a kitchette which is handy to make yourself a tea or coffee in the morning. The cabin bedding configuration was a queen bed, a single and a bunk.
No linen or towels were provided, but you can pay a bit extra for it to be included.
The showers were small, but the water was wonderfully hot.
The park is about a 10-15minute walk to the main street of Inverloch, mostly along the water.
Probably not the place to stay if you want to party on, it was pretty quiet , and If you were wanting to stay more than 2 nights I would consider a room upgrade for more room and comfort.
