“Pick of Harrietville”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

We keep coming back to this place. It's fantastic!!! A lovely relaxing place to stay.
Accommodation was immaculate and the Ed and Neene were very accessible to answer any questions or a chat. The kids enjoyed the games room, playground and the pool.
Highly recommend this place and we'll keep going back.

We really enjoyed the setting around the units, it was so peaceful and backed on to a gorgeous stream. Neene was lovely to deal with and made us feel very welcome and looked after us with some nice little personal touches, like turning our heater on before we arrived home late to a chilly night.... The units had everything we needed, were a great size and were very clean. The kids loved playing in the playground, especially juming on the trampoline :o) Thanks for a great stay in your beautiful town, we'll be back.

Stayed in a lodge with 10 other people on a bicycle trip. Extremely comfortable and great value. The owners are a terrific young couple who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable with things like the fire going on our arrival. There was plenty of room for all of us, with a number of bedrooms, two lounge rooms and a great kitchen. I would bring my family back here to stay the next time I visit the area.

Room Tip: If there are a number of you, get into one of the lodges.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2010

Stayed here with the family in July this year for 4 nights. There are single room and double room self contained apartments - we had a double room. The second room had 3 beds - a single and bunk beds - so can easily sleep 5 people altogether - so great for a family. The first bedroom only has a double bed (not queen bed) so they are 'cosy'. The little kitchen is good for preparing basic meals - there is no oven only hot plates and a microwave. The decor is a little retro - think 1970's/80's - but everything is clean and very comfortable. The view out to the gardens is fantastic.

We used this as our base to go skiing up at Mt Hotham - about an hour drive away. Compared to what you pay on the mountain this was excellent value. This would also be a great place to stay all year round as there is plenty to explore around you, and it is a beautiful, quiet location.

Plenty of families stay here so kids all seem to gather in the games room or play in the ample grounds - so great place for kids.

Only fault was that it would be handy if there was a small oven - there are very few options for eating out. There is the pub and that is basically it - but the pub (Snowline Hotel) food is very good. Otherwise you need to travel into Bright. There are BBQ's on the grounds.

All in all - very good!
