We stayed here for a wedding with our seven month old. Motel is located just out of the main township. It's a beautiful setting, surrounded by mountains, paddocks and wildlife, including the motel's mascot, Lemon Tree the kangaroo, who seems to linger near the dining room.
The rooms are absolutely spotless and while they are not set out in the latest decor we found them to be extremely comfortable with a very effective split system heating cooling device that kept our room as warm as we liked in the cold winter.
Owners were very friendly as were the staff in the breakfast room. Espresso coffee is available and they make a very nice latte. The cooked breakfast is nice too and reasonably priced. We didn't eat dinner so I can't comment on the dinner menu but it looked like typical pub fare.
We would stay here again. I believe we paid around $125 per night for one of the larger rooms.

Room Tip: Give the big breakfast a go.

We appreciate the service and overall quality of our stay, including the restaurant. I had the lamb shanks one night and it was fantastic, real mashed potato. I also had the steak I explained my ideally cooked steak, and the chief nailed it, it was tender and cooked to my liking. Thanks.

We stayed here over 2 years ago, under the previous ownership, and the new owners have certainly gone to town getting the place onto a new level. The room where breakfast was served is now a full-on restaurant (although not quite a gourmet experience), and the staff/managers are very visible getting everyone to have a good time. We were there in low season (weekday in winter), but a vanload of students were there for the night, and a big bonfire was setup for the occasion, and there was live music in the restaurant. All very nice. Not so wonderful are the rooms, still very much cheap (and cold!) motel, with no separate rooms for the family room - just 4 beds in a (cold!) space. Big upgrade on the decoration though. Rooms could do with a microwave oven at least. But generally good value for money and great staff.

Room Tip: Remember it is out of town - so either you eat in the restaurant, or you have a car trip

What a great place to stay! Even though we arrived way after the office hours, the staff was very friendly and welcoming and we still got a room. It was awesome to have electric blankets because it was such a cold night and the room was heated very nicely. In the morning, we saw heaps of kangaroos and cockatoos and emus in front of our room, that was amazing! We could even feed a kangaroo that came to the window of the breakfast room with toast. The breakfast tasted very good and we liked the motel so much that we stayed another night even though it wasn't planned. It was a gorgeous place!

I stayed for 2 nights with my partner and it was a fantastic place to stay. Chris and Jeff and the rest of the staff were excellent - very welcoming. Our room was amazing, very spacious and wonderful to come back to after a day of climbing mountains and relax in the spa. The restaurant was excellent - for breakfast and dinner. Very friendly atmosphere topped of with the company of 'lemon tree' (the kangaroo) watching through the window. Overall an amazing place to stay!

Beautiful location, spacious rooms and amazing hot shower! Our deluxe room was spacious and the a/c perfectly heated it. Dinner in the motel restaurant was great, accompanied by a nice bottle of local white wine by the fireplace. Host was so nice and friendly. Nothing to fault.
