“The best place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012 via mobile

On extremely late notice we were warmly welcomed and given a standard family room for our 2 nights. There was nothing 'standard' about this room - it had everything we could possibly need. There was plenty of room, very clean and lots of special touches like complimentary paper and bread each morning - all this for a very reasonable cost. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend

The villas are very well located, 20 minutes walk from the town center or about 5 by car.
the compound is great and has a small swimming pool, BBQ for each villa and a huge back yard full of kangaroos, emus, birds and even dears.

The villa is well attended. It is clean. and the wood for the fire is filled several times a day.
there is a fresh supply of bread and newspaper every morning to the doorstep.

the cabin itself has everything you need, including a well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machine.

We found it clean and comfortable. I'm sure we'll be back

We stayed in the 3 bedroom deluxe, 4 kids and 4 adults and had plenty of space. Would easily fit 10 people. The cottage/house was nice and clean and practical for families, including a big spa which fitted all 4 kids! Pool was very close and also good for kids. 10 minute walk to the info centre, Bambruk, along a track with heaps of kangaroos, a couple of emus, deer and lots of parrots. Amazing! Who needs a zoo when you can stay here, with a parade of 9 cockatoos, 7 kookaburras and 2 rosellas visiting our back porch morning and night?!

Stayed in a 2 bedroom lodge for 2 nights.....accommodation well appointed, clean with log burning stove in lounge area. Some nice touches too.....complementary newspaper and bread delivered each morning. Small shop on site for items such as toiletries, tinned food, biscuits etc. + wine/beer purchases too. Owners friendly and helpful...

Location well kept with pool in warmer months......

Boronia is about a 15 minute walk into Halls Gap town....along the main road on a footpath on the flat.

Would recommend and would stay again.....

We lucked out. Came into Halls Gap after 5 pm. Tourist office: closed. Had a fancy screen that showed all of 4 camp grounds for places to stay. No hotels, no self-catering, no b&b's, NO MAP. Other tourist offices in Australia have printed lists of who still has room for the night and WHERE they are; not here.
So, into the car, driving at random to find refuge. Took a turn because we saw a kangaroo. We figure it was on the payroll of Boronia Peak Villas. And, whatever was its salary, it earned its pay! What a FIND!
For 3 nights, the 2 of us had a full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, full bathroom with spa tub and a separate shower. Oh, and a wood buring stove (ah, it was high summer so we didn't use it), ceiling fans, portable fans (didn't use), electric blankets (did use-ahhh), dishwasher, clothes washer. And, of course, fresh bread and a newspaper delivered every morning. The price? Under 400AU for all 3 nights!
There is a swimming pool that was enjoyed by 2 young girls every afternoon. Other units have open fireplaces, romantic spas in the living room (near the fireplace - get it?). They all looked wonderful, and are wonderfully tended by the Benbows - Stephanie and Harry and their son, Michael. The Benbows are full of information (gave us, and every customer, a large binder containing all the brochures on what to see, what restaurants there are, what services are available in Halls Gap, etc.), and are warm and genuinely caring people.
Of course, all of this is iced by the kangaroos, deer, emus, cockatoos, parrots and other birds that parade through the grounds. Just sit quietly on your shady porch and they will ensure that you are awed and entertained. Bush experience in decadent comfort.
Could anyone want more?
