We decided to visit Jett Cafe for lunch, having been there once before for breakfast. The first time was ok so we decided to give it a second try.
When entering the cafe, the waiter was very disinterested and took some persuading to get us a table (granted it was very busy). We sat down and looked at the menu. It was very limited. All day breakfast consists of eggs on toast, muesli, pancakes and one or two other items. The lunch menus consisted of sandwiches, wraps, one salad and some burgers.
We ordered a salad and a burger and then had to move tables as there were a few people smoking at the tables outside. When we informed the waitress, she was quite rude and said "yes yes fine" and walked away.
We waited about 30 minutes for our order. When we inquired about how far it was, the waitress stormed off to find out without a second glance or acknowledgment of our question.
The salad was small (it had chicken which was well cooked) and the burger was tasty.
In total the meal came to $51 (with two coffees and some fairy bread for our daughter). A bit too pricy.
It's such a pity because the location is brilliant, the restaurant is clean and elegant. It has such potential.
We did see that the restaurant was up for sale so perhaps that was the reason for our experience. We will have to wait and see what the new owners will do with it.
