We rolled into town on the way back from South Australia and chose to stay at the Victoria because it was a character filled country pub. We were in time for dinner which was huge and delicious. Not gourmet if that is your thing but wholesome, filling and served promptly. We were led upstairs to one of the nicer room, which I think may be the one pictured on their website. We were quite amused with the twin bed option having been married 22 years. The room was relatively basic but the beds were comfy, had electric blankets and were neat and clean. The bathrooms were down the hall, but were fine. I didn't have to share them, maybe others had slept in or left already. There was a little lounge also down the hall, with an old tv, shag rug and couches, tea and coffee making facilities etc. Peter the rabbit was also hopping about on the balcony!
By no means was the hotel luxurious, but we enjoyed our stay regardless. Life is made up of different experiences and this was just another memorable one!
