“The Cabins were awesome!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2010

They have about 20 cabins at this hotel. They are nestled in the woods behind the hotel and restaurant. Our cabin had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, nice rocking chair front porch and a nice king size bed. We had a terrific time. We were told that all the cabins have this. Walked up to the restaurant and had a great country dinner buffet. The food was just like going to your grandmothers. And they also have a Gift Shop for you to browse around in. They even make Homemade fudge and fried pie. So if you are ever in the area, stop by and try to stay in one the cabins. You want regret it.

This hotel has been there for many years and we were reluctant to stay because of the age. The doors still open to the outside. All rooms have been updated. It was plain but great for the price and for one night stay off the interstate. We did not eat at the Smoke House Restaurant but I'm sure it is good. There is a small restaurant (locally owned) next door - food was good. The Monteagle Winery is across the street - wonderful wines to choose from to either taste and/or buy. We will stay there again as a stop over on our way south. Can't beat the price.

We like to "runaway" from life and the stresses that go with it once in a while. The Smokehouse cabins are the perfect way to get away from it all while you are only miles off a major interstate. The staff is fabulous. The cabins are rustic and charming. The deer come in the early mornings and late afternonn to graze right off your screened in porch. We all had a wonderful time enjoying the great outdoors and relaxing.

We travel to Tennessee often and wouldn't stay anywhere else but the Best Western Smokehouse lodge. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The staff there are very friendly and they go above and beyond to make your stay there the best it can be. The grounds are beautiful and beautifully manicured. They have tennis courts, basketball court, a wonderful relaxing swimming pool. Small pond that you can even fish in.
Also the Smokehouse Restaurant and gift shop will take you back in time. Decorated with lots of history and the best homemade fudge we've ever had. The food there is excellent and if you like good ole home country cooking you will not be disappointed. The price for both the restaurant and Best Western is very reasonable. We say we always get more than we expected. Oh....and the best fried chicken in Tennessee!!

We got stuck in this tiny town when our van died, and it was HOT that day. We decided to stay overnight and ended up being extremely pleased with the only lodging close by! This lodge has an old-timey feel at the same time that it has the modern conveniences. It also has a large pond, big fields for badminton or volley ball, picnic areas, a large pavilion/barbecue area that is reservable, and a small -but nice- play structure for little ones. Their pet policy is liberal, as we had four dogs and a cat in our traveling menagerie! The room was very clean and the bed was comfy, The air conditioner - possibly our most important requirement - was perfect. There are a couple of restaurants who deliver, and there is also an attached barbecue place that was doing brisk business. All in all, if you have to get stuck somewhere, you'd be fortunate - as we were - to find such a gem.
