“Just over the Harbour Bridge”

This hotel is well located to Milsons Point train station.
We arrived and got put into a room on the 7th floor but as soon as we walked into the room it smelt very musty, as the room was right opposite the laundry. We immediately rang reception and they changed us to another room on the 9th floor.
Room was very comfortable.
Bathroom was quite small but adequate.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Don't get a room on the 7th floor, near the laundry.

The hotel is well located in North Sydney near Luna Park. The room was clean and reasonably sized. The bathroom was a bit cramped. The room looked on a narrow street and had little natural light. Breakfast was a buffet and well priced. Staff were all polite and the hotl well kept. There is nothing outstanding but also little to complain about. It is a clean well run but not outstanding hotel.

Stayed here on business and had a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Some rooms would have harbour views (mine didn't) which would be nice - but for those that miss out you can enjoy this vista from the hotel restaurant and pool.
The twin room I had was comfortable and adequate. The bathroom was getting a little tired, but it was fine. I purchased a bottle of water from the mini bar - obviously the minibar stocks (in my room at least) don't turn over frequently as I noticed the bottle of wine, and water were very dusty. I gave it a rinse before I consumed. Otherwise housekeeping was good and the rooms were well presented.
My colleague and I ate the restaurant on level 1, on the first night. Our meals were very nice. We both enjoyed the swordfish main, which was cooked beautifully and a nice light, fresh dish served with a fennel salad. Very friendly, lovely and attentive waitress - a Brazilian girl. She stood out as providing the best service during our stay. We also had the breakfast buffet at the restaurant each morning. This provided a nice selection of all the expected, continental, cooked, fruits, pancakes and pastries, coffee and juices. Set us up well for the day.
The Milson's Point train station is directly across the road, and there is a taxi rank right outside the front doors. Transportation is very convenient and easy for getting around and exploring the city. Straight down the street to the harbour is a nice restaurant Ripples you could try, and enjoy the harbour views and city lights while you dine. Also the Olympic pools which you can get a complimentary pass to from reception at VIBE hotel.
All in all a good and convenient spot to stay. I would return.

As others have mentioned the hotel is ideally situated, across from the train station. It is an easy walk to and across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Rocks and the the central business district.

I was in room 1409 from 4-12 March 2013; it is large (really two rooms) and adequately furnished: comfortable bed, good desk and chair, chesterfield/sofa, chairs and a flat screen TV.

I ate my breakfasts in the hotel (Curve restaurant). At $20.00 per breakfast it is about average cost. Many hotels have bigger, better buffets, but there was nothing wrong with this.

The hotel bar was often closed. I went in twice for a glass of whisky after an evening out. The whisky selection is poor by Canadian standards.

I did not use the spa or pool.

Checkin and checkout were quick and friendly.

It wasn't, in any respect (good or bad) a memorable stay, but it was, in all respects, fine.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the Harbour bridge etc then avoid 1409; it overlooks the train station.

The Vibe is an excellent hotel in an excellent location providing excellent value for money. The hotel is quite modern and kept nice and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Location is right next to Milsons Point railway station (only 1 stop from the city) and at the start of the Harbour Bridge. We travelled into the City and Circular Quay very easily - lots of trains at short intervals and only a very short trip. We found it well worth it to stay at the Vibe/Milsons Point at a lower cost than equivalent city hotels and take a short trip in.

The area around the Vibe is also really lovely. A short walk down to the water, Luna Park and Kirribilli shops (lots of good cafes and places to eat).

We had a lovely view of the harbour from our room. Also with the harbour bridge and trains running close to the hotel, there is a small amount of noise, however this didn't cause any sleep disruption and wasnt an issue (keeping in mind that most city based locations are going to have some sort of noise anyway).

There was also some noise associated with the water pipes from the room above - not an issue for us, however would be a good maintenance item for management to target.

Overall an excellent stay and will certainly be our hotel of choice for all return trips to Sydney.

Recently stayed here on business in Sydney. Vibe hotels always nioce and good value. Great location and 2min walk down to North Sydney Pool on harbours edge every morning - very cool doing laps looking up at the Harbour Bridge (included, just ask the desk for a voucher). Easy walk into city but always seemed to be taxi at door so easy to get around. Rooms nice. Only issue was very hot when arrived but air condioner in every room meant could adjust to preferred temperature. Desk staff very helpful and helped out with some missing toiletries. Lot quieter than I thought (had a room facing cahill expressway) - no issues with noise or getting to sleep.

My room had great views of the harbour, the bridge and to the extreme right the Sydney Opera House. The room was cleaned to a degree I was happy with, great space and separation of the room and living area. Unfortunately the customer service greatly impacted on my stay. On the second day of a three night stay the air-conditioning stopped working. The response from the front desk was absolutely disgraceful. I was informed that I only had another nights stay! And that it couldn't be looked at in a quick time frame. They stuck to their guns and the air stayed off.

I inquired about check out as I was leaving at 4am for a long drive back to Brisbane and wanted to make sure I didn't need to finalise my account the night prior. If you need this service I suggest checking out the night prior.

Unfortunately when the cleaner finally found a staff member to assist he didn't speak English at and understandable level. Due to a complete language block I actually left without closing out the account. The car park is ridiculously small and had to navigate in even a medium sized car and poisonously expensive at $25 per exit.

I was charged for breakfast when it was advertised as inclusive while booking, as above the air-con broke and the desk service is just terrible, check out worse and carpark great for bicycles . There's definitely better in the area.
