“Clean & convenient”

Stayed for one night in Nov 2012. Did not arrive to check in until 11pm, very tired and was pleased that check in was a quick and easy process, the young man who assisted us with check in was very polite. We were in room 537. Room itself was clean and with enough space for just the one night needing somewhere to rest my head. The bed was very comfortable and although I didn't order one, they had a pillow menu which I thought was cool. The soft pillow already on the bed was fine for me. Was pleased that the window could be opened, but due to traffic noise did not leave it open while I slept, instead used the air con which worked quite well. Bathroom was unusual, almost boat style, and although there was hardly enough space to swing a cat around, the shower was very spacious and with good water pressure. We had a sandwich from the late night menu down in the restaurant after arriving which was prompt and tasty. Check out at 6am was easy, and we were able to purchase shuttle bus tickets to the airport for $6. Next time if I only had small baggage I would walk to the airport instead, even at 6am traffic was already piling up. A good hotel for a convenient place to rest your head if you have an early flight.

Too much noise in rooms caused by other guests in corridors at all hours of the night. The rooms do not have good sound proofing between the room and the corridors. You hear every noise that is made including other doors being opened and closed, conversations, the elevator etc.
I stay regularly lately and never get a good sleep. Also the rates are not good value considering the size and standard of rooms. Cooked breakfast is also very poor standard. In fact it is plain awful.

Last minute decision to stay in Sydney so paid a little more than I would have wanted to to stay at the Ibis.

Check in was check and easy, same with parking. A little bit busy with the restaurant also in the same area.

The room was clean and tidy. Pillows too low, but there is a pillow menu in the room so additional pillows may not be an issue. Foxtel is advertised and there is certainly Foxtel channels however channels such as Fox8 are there but locked out. A nice change for a Sydney hotel is the chance to actually open the window. The A/C worked well but was a bit noisy. Bathroom was fairly tiny, but the shower was a reasonable size.

I wouldn't stay here for anything except a quick overnight stop before flying somewhere or picking someone up.

Only downside was after paying for parking, the pass didn't work, the following car had same issue. Along with an elevator being out of action in the morning.

I am always pleased when I stay at Accor hotels that's why I am a member, however, on this occasion I was disappointed with the service. Upon arrival I had booked the hotel shuttle bus to take us to the airport the following morning as we needed to be at the airport by 6.00am. They told me the bus was booked for 5.30am. We were in the foyer and checked out by 5.30am and was told to wait on the seat near the door. The first bus came and they said ours was the next bus. By the time he had arrived it was 5.40am and he said he was not leaving until 6.00am which would have put us late into the airport. We had to call for a taxi to get us to the airport on time. Very disappointing and not a good start to our holiday.
