“Comfy but beware the WiFi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

Very comfy accommodations, just a block or so from rail stop to city centre. The fitness center is small, in the basement, with just two treadmills...there is a nice sauna. The WiFi is not free, and after paying $27au for 24hrs, I found it was practically too weak to use from my room.

Stayed one night before my overseas holiday to the USA. I had initially booked two rooms, one for my grandmother who was going to travel with me, but could not come due to being terminally Ill. The hotel was happy to credit my room for her cancelled room, and refunded me the difference. This hotel went above and beyond to assist me and i will definatley stay here on my next over seas trip.

I ordered a steak dinner from the in-room service and it was beautifully cooked and was just delicious.

The location is very close to the airport. I had an early morning flight which meant i had to check out at 3:30 am, and the hotel arranged the taxi for me which was nice aswell. The only thing i found awkward was the fact that taxi drivers dont like the short distance from the hotel to the airport, which is no fault to the hotel, it would be good though if there was an arrangement that Taxi drivers were ok with this short distance? -

Room Tip: i asked for the airport view, which is quite a good view of the run way and planes taking off landin...

The hotel is close to the airport, (5 minutes drive in the early hours of the morning).
The lobby and public areas are impressive and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
We had a family room (2 queens) which was spacious and the room and bathroom were a good size and very clean. There was a good selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room and a bar fridge with room to store a few things of your own.
The food in the restaurant at night was very good, and the breakfast had a good selection with an egg chef with some tasty special options for omelettes, pancakes etc.
Why I have only given an average rating rather than above is based mainly on the value. For the price I would expect closer to a 5 star accommodation. The bathrooms are outdated with cracked cistern and tiles, a shower over the bath only, noisy air conditioning, and exceptionally slow service for our evening meal. On arrival at the restaurant we were told to take a seat at the bar and have drinks while waiting for our table to be made up. After 20 minutes with no bar service we helped ourselves to some water as we were so thirsty. At least one of the wait staff had been coopted from reception, so maybe there was a staffing problem that night.
None of these things in themselves were terrible but together, along with the usual overpricing typical of Sydney, mean an average rather than very good rating. It is a good hotel and I think is probably the best on offer.

OK Sydney Airport is a diaster and needs replacement and so I didn't arrive in a good mood and it was midnight. There is a transfer bus and after a call to hotel was easy to find between T1 and T2, it was old and dirty but did the job. Check in OK with a room on 2nd floor and a walk along dirty stained worn out carpets. Room good size but old and worn out. Wireless didn't work but cable did and expensive. Sleep limited and bathroom functional. Check out OK and transfer bus on time to international terminal, traffic at the terminals blocked.
In summary if you have to be at Sydney airport its Ok, its just somewhere to sleep, its a 1980's time warp and a blot on the brand

We spent one night here on our way home to Boston. We needed a handicapped accessible room. The accessible bathroom was large and functional. We booked in advance and purchased our breakfast at that time, which was a good value. The breakfast was expansive and quite delicious. Our room was on the second floor and the room was 100% sound proof - no airplane sounds, no sounds from the lobby, no sounds from flushing pipes. We were offered help with our bags upon check in, although we didn't need it. Service overall was very good.

I emailed the hotel and requested if a room could be available for my 0800 arrival which was done As I had a 1200 meeting and required some extra sleep as i had only got 3hrs on my international flight. The room was good with everything you would need and the bed was the comforiest ever.Bathroom is a little out dated but all worked well and was clean. The breakfast was very good with lots of options.Overall a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Stayed a night before flight to Vietnam nd Uk.Typical aussie hotel hight on price low on service, I would expect a 4 star hotel to have at least a bell boy but no just one receptionist "trolley over there help your self",such a contrast when we got to Vietnam!!!.Having said that the hotel is near aipport has a restaurant and bar good because there is nowhere else to eat or drink locally.rooms of decent size clean and confortable.I just wish the Australian hospitality industry learnt what service should be or alternativly the locals should stop paying hight prices for basic service oh did I mention the "indoor pool" I have seen bigger baths !!

Room Tip: all rooms alike high floor= less noise.Get breakfast at Airport much better choice and value
