“A taste of France you can afford”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

We recently had a great night at Le Simpatico. The wait staff are personable, efficient and professional. The ambience is warm, welcoming and the seating is comfortable. The food and wine are delicious and affordable. I had scallops St Jacque which balanced the delicate sweetness of scallops against the more robust flavour of chorizo and the earthiness of black pudding. Sublime! Even mainstays like steak in pepper sauce are prepared well and presented beautifully. We were in Sydney for a special occasion so visited a few good restaurants, but Le Simpatico gets our vote for best dining experience. We'll be back.

Have dined here 4 times now and enjoyed it every time. Attentive French waitstaff.
Great French food Sometimes a little slow coming but worth the wait!

“The French Connection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Invited to the Le Simpatico as a birthday treat and boy was I treated!!! What a fantastic experience, from genuine and authentic French staff to an exquisite menu that reflected some of the best dishes that France has to offer. From Classic snails to quail, from beef to some of the best tasting Rainbow trout you could wish for. The desert were possibly some of the best presented dishes you could hope to see. Who needs Master Chef when you have Le Simpatico?

The atmosphere is friendly, low key and relaxed. The meal was never rushed and the staff were attentive and certainly knew their dishes. Worth a visit whether for a romantic French Evening or a dinner with friends.

“Excellent value, service and quality of presentation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

It is good to have the availability of french focus cuisine on the lower north shore. I am happy to recommend the food, the service and although the restaurant was almost full on a Wednesday night, not noisy such that quiet conversation was audible and not a strain. The option of bring your own wine a small charge meets my needs. I am looking forward to another visit.
