“Consistently Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

It was our favourite for a long time but had not eaten there quite a few years now. Found the food still very good, staff very attentive and food arrived quickly even though the restaurant was very busy on the Saturday we went back. The Dosa is crispy and tasty. Goat curry was great. The vegetable dishes were normal as compared to other Indian restaurants.

“Best Indian we have found Sydney Wide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

As an expat, pommie, who has been living in Oz coming up to 10 years finding a good Indian hasn't been easy. Fortunately some of my expat buddies put me on to Malabar. Wow its great food. The Dosai's aren't usually found on UK/Indian menus, but gosh they are great. Dont eat too much though, as whats to come with the onion bhaji's, kebabs, butter chicken tikkia chicken, lamb ....just keep it coming. This place is the place for the best indian in Sydney.

“Indian food with lots of makeup and bad service.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

We went to try it out and we live close by. It was big disappointment. It probably is suited to diners who will want their Indian food tasting like Aussie or Italian food...
There was no authenticity at all when it comes to taste... The Kofta did not come anyway close to what it should be... it was very bland.. curries were nearing complete disgrace...
it took them more than 30 min after first course to get mains...
their vada tasted like they had bought frozen ones and fried it...
I will not go back nor recommend... there are many authentic indian restaurants in crowsnest / st leonards so skip this

“Fabulous restaurant - highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

This is a great restaurant with efficient, courteous staff and fabulous food. What a find in downtown Crows Nest!! We keep going back and are never disappointed. The menu is wide and varied and we keep adding to our growing list of favourite dishes. The mixed entree is a great starter and really everything there is a winner. The restaurant always seems to be well patronised and bookings are often essential - a good sign that this is an establishment worth visiting over and over again.

“Best Indian in Crowie - really good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

Dropped in late the other night for a quick meal and wasn't disappointed. Licensed and BYO.

Shared a couple of entrees with my wife and took our main meal home to eat at our leisure because we were feeling tired and full...

Every dish was perfect. Everything is so authentic, good quality ingredients and flavoursome. Highly recommended. Wish they did home delivery we would get it more often.
