What a nice relaxing hotel and a beautiful view of the ocean! As I walked in the room, I was amazed at the cleanliness and the spa like feel of the room. The beds had crisp, clean sheets and were incredibly comfortable. I could not have had a better room. This is the place to stay in Sunny Isle!

If you love great beaches, wonderful service, modern/clean facilities, flawless staff, guest services priority treatment, gourmet/budget-friendly food and beverage and all-day/all-night excitement and fun, the Newport Beach Hotel & Resort in the Sunny Isles beaches area of Miami is exactly what you want and need. No matter what kind of event you want -- mini vacation, wedding, reunion, mental health getaway -- this is the place. Everything is so easy to arrange and so simple to enjoy.

We held our 45th annual high school reunion (Miami Norland Senior High) last weekend at the Newport -- and it was sensational. The location is without peer: Atlantic Ocean-front. The catering of all three of our events was flawless: delicious, plentiful food and great diverse drinks -- and, reasonable prices for our group. They provided a great room rate for our attendees -- and they're willing to work with you to ensure you get everything just as you want it, even down to helping you with great suggestions for menus -- and on decisions like "sit down dinner service" or "scrumptious buffet" for your group. I need to mention again: Amazing service.

I would give special praise to Tammy Malamud, the best staff exec we've ever worked at any hotel for a big event. Tammy was our first and best point of contact for helping to plan our entire event for 60 people. I'm sure she's worked with much larger groups -- but she treated us as if we were the most important event in town -- in every meeting or long-distance phone call for the advanced planning. Over the period of several months, she was always responsive -- and properly pro-active in reminding me, politely, of various decisions, deadlines and opportunities to enhance our events for the reunion. We also appreciated the work on the entire staff -- with special additional shout outs to Lance Detotto, for helping arrange our great guest room rate, and the catering leaders of Vladimir and Anna, who anticipated our every need for the opening reception, poolside barbeque and our closing cocktail party/dinner/dance. The international accent of this catering staff added a touch of intrigue and elegance even to a simple reunion.

I've never worked with a hotel that was so completely customer friendly and service oriented in every aspect of our visit and event. We liked it so much that we 'gave away' a door prize of a three-day/two-night stay at the Newport.

But all of us will be winners when we likely hold our next reunion -- which will be much bigger -- at the Newport in five years. But many of us are not going to wait that long. We plan to return with spouses, friends, in smaller groups -- to continue to enjoy this jewel in the crown of the more affordable and beautiful northern beach-side parts of Miami-Dade County. Check it out....Visit just one time -- and you'll be back, again and again. The hotel pool and deck are very large -- so there's as much room to swim there, nearly, as there is in the just-steps-away Atlantic.

The "305 Kitchen" restaurant is so good, locals eat there, every night...and the spa is a place you could envision spending lots of relaxing time....

Room Tip: Make a deal for a three-night weekend....If you only do two, you'll wish you had at least one mo...

Here is a great place to stay and enjoy the sun and beach, walk down the poolside straight to the beach or stop at one of many pools on property, eat cheap, or at a five star, we had a great time, the only bad side is that half the property was sold as timeshare and those owners bought the ocean view condos and use it,

But out side of that we enjoy the week,

Room Tip: Stay on the south side condos they all have ocean view of course while sitting on the deck

As we checked in we were told that we can upgrade you to a room with a partial view of the Ocean instead of City View, great of course! No not great we overlooked the roof that was dirty and full of trash. If you extended your head and turned sideways you could see the Ocean. Get to our floor and walk through construction to get to room and then open door, horrible. The room was so out dated no wonder they are renovating. No room to barely move with two people, plus we had 2 drawers to put our clothing & closet had 4 hangers. As we start to unpack it just got worse, look up and find mold growing around air supply vent. We were moved but not worth the cost and then fee charged on top of room charge for entertainment and beach. Plus if you needed to rest during the day forget it, construction with jackhammers going all day. Worse hotel I have ever stayed at, nothing relaxing here.

Room Tip: This hotel is in the middle of a renovation, even though we were moved to a renovated room it was st...

My wife and I made reservations for a romantic weekend at the Newport Resort weeks ahead. After preparing the bags with some belongins and taking the dogs to somebody that would take care of them, we went to the hotel to check in. The guy at the front desk gave us the great news that our "Ocean View" room was no longer available and that instead they could give us a "Street View" room and they would give us a credit on the valet parking which was a $60 saving vs. a $200 dollar loss with the room switch. I told him that it was outrageous that they lure us in with a phony reservation that they don't respect or honor to give us a cheaper room. They told us that they couldn't help us and they were sorry about it. Thank God we live in the Doral which is not that far and we decided not to take that ridiculous deal. The clerk quickly cancel the reservation without penalty and yeah it sounded like they were doing us a favor by doing that. The clerk tried to tell me to call before check in next time and I told him that there will NOT be a next time. We not only lost our time and effort to look and pay for somebody to take care of our dogs and get ready for the romantic weekend but we lost money on gas also. Not to mention the horrible moment of being told they gave your room away. I sincerily hope that somebody would read our experience and avoid going through a humiliating and disgusting moment.

Stayed in August for 5 nights, booked and received a room with kitchen facilities.
The room had a bad smell of rotten carpets, the towels were not changed for 3 days and finally received stained towels, the room was never hoovered,
The hotel has a very good location the receptionists seems busy all the time.
I took one breakfast , one two many, the price is quite expenssive for what they serve.
On my next visit to Miami i will not stay there.
