“Memorial weekend”

Property has easy access to the beach. Convenient location, shopping strip across the street. Parking sucks, long waiting for valet. The bad part: There is no self parking, although the daily valet parking is $30. All prices in the hotel are high, I would recommend crossing the street and dine there instead. You'll pay almost half with same service and food quality. Beach bar is very nice but it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays! Very friendly staff and not greedy for tips. Do not go during the long weekends or Holidays. Crowded and there is no late checkout. They want you even leave before 11am.

Room Tip: Ocean view 15th floor and upper

I stayed at the Trump for a company trip this past May. The location is on a clean and well kept beach on Sunny Isles and right across from Collins Avenue to a large number of strip malls. Unfortunately, we had the mall view...and asked for a change of floors and rooms several times, but the hotel was not able to do this. The room itself is very nice, large and offers a sitting area, washer/dryer and large bathroom. The prices in the restaurants are expensive and I expected it to be so. Food is very good and we had several company buffet dinners/breakfasts that were very good. Staff is calm, fine, capable but nothing exceptional. We rented a car for the day and found additional charges on our final bill after we left the hotel; so check the rental document and initial the charges you are willing to accept. We did so and still had discrepancies on the final bill. Check out - they are quite militant about getting you out at 11am even if you request a late check out. What I did appreciate was the use of a complimentary cabana where we could shower and change after a day at the pool as we had a later flight home. South Beach is about a 35-40 minute drive from the hotel. Overall experience was fine but there are other hotels in the area that I would consider if I returned to Sunny Isles.

My husband and I just returned from a weeklong trip in Sunny Isles, where we stayed at the Trump International Hotel.
Positives: The one bedroom suite was great. We traveled with our infant and having a separate living area was helpful. There was a washer/dryer and full kitchen, stocked with utensils, plates, pots and pans. Although we opted not too cook while there, we absolutely could have prepared a meal and prob. saved some money! We also upgraded to an ocean view which was beautiful. I found the bed to be very comfy, especially the pillows. The wait staff at the Neomi's was very nice; good service and above average food. The asian restaurant in the hotel was good and they offered to deliver the food we ordered right up to the room. The beach is nice. The location is good. Plenty of nearby restaurants and malls.
Negatives: One of the rooms, 2 doors down from us was undergoing construction. We had to listen to a jack hammer, ripping up a floor starting at 9AM. After complaining, they did offer to change our room (which we didn't want to do). Ultimately, they assured us it would ONLY be for that day, but sure enough again, the following day, the work resumed. It was insanely loud and we could NOT be in the room while this was going on. The manager of the hotel ended up compensating us ~25% for those 2 nights. Although one of the managers was apologetic, the other one was a little snide and clearly felt we weren't entitled to any type of compensation. It is expensive to park the car. $30/night. There are no other options. It's also a bit hectic in the driveway and I felt rushed every time I was down there due to the line of cars. The spa is no big deal. I didn't end up getting any treatments. I enjoy a nice atmosphere in a spa; a great relaxation room, full amenity locker room area and this spa was lacking in both. We also didn't like that gratuity plus 2 other taxes is added on to EVERY bill. Like the one night, we went to order Asian food, we ordered it ourselves and brought it up to the room. They still charged us all the service fees which is 18%. There was also a small flood outside our room which they tried to remedy quickly. And on our last night, there was a system problem with the Emergency System, resulting in strobe lights, no elevators in service and loud announcements coming through the loud speaker in the room for 45 minutes. Initially it was a little scary b/c they didn't seem to know what was going on...then it just got annoying. Apparently a handful of people got stuck in the elevator during this.
Overall, the hotel was good. Pricey, but good. It worked well for traveling with our baby for the first time although I might have felt differently if we didn't have that suite. And truthfully, I expected perhaps a bit more something something from a Trump Hotel!

Room Tip: Request a high floor and direct ocean view

Stayed at the Trump International for 3 days for a business meeting. Conference facilities are very comfrotable. The one bedroom suite is stunning. Ocean views from every room, floor to ceiling windows. Amazing intercoastal waterway and city views even as you step out of the elevator. Suite includes a full kitchen and washer/dryer. The pool is gorgeous. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool overlooking the ocean, with a book to read after a day's work. Nice.
Hotel restaurant service was excellent but food was just average. I'd suggest eating off property. Beach and the water are beautiful.

Room Tip: Oceanfront for sure.

When you think of anything associated with Donald Trump many things grand and luxurious come to mind. This hotel does not really fit the mold. I stayed here for almost a week, and did enjoy the stay. The sushi was very good and the staff was extremely friendly. The amenities were not that great. The business center charged $7 for two minutes on the computer, the pillows were the ABSOLUTE WORST I have EVER slept on. My wife really enjoyed the spa. The drinks were extremely expensive, but again the service was good. The pool was nice. There was minimal bar area to speak of. I will certainly do more research next time around and not depend on the trump name...

Room Tip: ocean view was nice, not sure if is worth the increase in price though

My wife and I generally make it to the Trump every few years to escape the northeast winters, and we always have a great time. The rooms are generous, and have great views. The resort has everything we need, but it's not crazy large so it's easy to get around from the room, beach, pool, bars, spa, etc. The beach and pool area are great, with a full service bar and food service at both. Another great feature is the general proximity -- it's just south of Fort Lauderdale Airport, which is a great place to fly in and out of especially if you fly Southwest. We hop on a plane in the morning, fly in, rent a car, and are poolside by early afternoon. The resort is also a relatively short drive to Southbeach/Miami if you want to change things up. Fort Lauderdale, Bal Harbour and Aventura Mall are also easy drives. Accordingly, it makes for a great 3 night get away - easy in / easy out, clean, good service, low stress.

Room Tip: Delux "ocean front" rooms are a little smaller and have two beds. We changed to the "...

I recently stayed a the Trump International Beach Resort and it was fabulous!!! The rooms are spacious, & clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurants (McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, local sit down) and Publix grocery store are in walking distance from the resort. The food selections are the resort are limited and pricey. Great beach with attendents to set up chairs and umbrellas. The only problem we had was with the "free shuttle service". The shuttle only seats 11 people, so needless to say we didn't get to South Beach. There are 30 guest floors so the shuttle was a disappointment. I would stay there again.
