5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

Went for a long weekend in April 2012. I brought my daughter and her best friend for her 16th birthday. We were treated like royalty. We loved the spa, the service was A+, pool and beach perfect. I can't wait to go back.

This is one of te best resort in Miami Beach, supperb ocean view and very nice suite and beach front. dining at the beach with fantastic drink selection. the staff are very freindly and helpful.
Extraorinary room and suite size, average breakfast buffet and expensive valet parking.

Room Tip: Ocean front suite, higher floors have te best view.

before I went on vacation I read some reviews on this hotel, they were not very good. I started to worry because I was taking my two kids with me and was not sure this was the hotel for us based on the bad reviews of over pricing and bad service. let me tell tou this hotel is simply wonderful. I stayed in a deluxe one bedroom suite, which was Hugh. I also meet only the best housekeeper, whom kept our room stocked with towel for our numerous pool and beach swims. The pool water was a perfect temp. And there was always room for my family and I.the beach service was speedy and accommodating also.the hotel should be prized for their knowledgesble staff and let talk about room service!!!!!! The food was awesome and the kids meal potion as as big as a adult plate......

This hotel has amazing potential - great layouts of the suites, fantastic ocean views and great amenities. However, the service from the front desk, to the valet (horrible!), to housekeeping is inconsistent and at times, downright rude. We ended up waiting two plus hours to check in, with no apology or real explanation until we asked to speak to the front desk manager (who, on a positive note, was very accommodating). We never had the same amount of towels from housekeeping, and had to call down each day to get more. They ran out of beach towels the last day we were there late in the afternoon, again with no apologies or explanation. The men who set up beach chairs were the exception in terms of service - polite, helpful and always accommodating and in the heat too! The valet was the most disappointing - we would call down 10 minutes in advance and still wait (with no cars - just guys standing talking!). NOT a 4* hotel but the potential is there.

We went mid April.. Upon entering and seeing our room I was a bit let down, things looked older and in need of sprucing up, I was suprised, kind of bland colors, etc. We have three kids. The pool is very nice, very large, nice temperature, nice low area for our 4 year old. The food was good. The location is fine but you are walking along what feels like a highway if you want to go to other restaurants ,very busy road, yes there are sidewalks. The Italian restaurant next door was excellent, we dined there twice.. The kids program was hyped up but in reality was little more than a babysitting room, nothing special. Again super nice staff, but really just a table, some chairs and they did a small craft. I probably wouldn't stay again because we would try a different South Florida hotel. Overall it is nice ,not the best place we have been to, but nice ifyou need a weekend getaway and are not expecting an over the top kind of hotel.

Once again the Trump has provided us with a truly memorable holiday. The staff within the hotel from front of house through to the many service stafff that you will come into contact with during your stay provide you with nothing less than a courteous and welcoming stay.

The addition of free wi-fi has further enhanced the hotels offering for guets wishing to stay in touch with their friends and family, something that was drastically lacking last year (after all if the local public bus service can have free wi-fi then why not a high end hotel?).

Admittedly this is a higher end priced hotel, so if you are looking for budget then this is perhaps not the place for you, but if you are lookign to have a holiday where most of what you need or require can be catered for then i would advise paying Sunny Isle a visit.

Handily located just out of the main South Beach hustle and bustle, it is still only ever short journey south should you wish to party, or north shpould you want to do some hecvy duty shopping at the nearby Aventura Mall.

The facilties form the fitness centre to the poolside and the hotels area of beach is prestine and extremely well maintained, while the shuttle bus (offered as aprt of the daily resort charge) is perfect should you wish to navigate your way around as we did.

If I have one qualm it would have perhaps been the cost of beverages from the bar in particualr where an already expensive Budweiser becomes even more so with an additonal service charge stealthfully added to your end cheque (be prepared for a surprise if you decide on a night on the cocktails $10/15 each could lead to a nasty surpise after a drunken night in!).

Once service and tip is added to your bottle of Bud you could end up paying $8/9 or so!

On the whole the hotel offers first class rooms, setting, location and cutomer service which has improved further still since our 2011 visit.

If you go to Miami only once then I would certainly recommend spending that little extra and paying the Trump a visit.

Room Tip: Choose an ocean facing room for a memorable sunrise. Make use of the in room fridge to lessen mini b...

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Trump International. We were looking for a weekend getaway and couldn't have picked a better place!
We were warmly greeted upon arrival and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Jr. Suite!
We also arrived before actual check-in time but had no problem getting into our room, unpacking so we could have lunch and check out the pools and beach.
The room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the city. (next time we would try to get the ocean view room!) I can honestly say that the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in!
The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful.
We had lunch outside at the restaurant which was perfect. Again, the waitstaff was excellent!
There are 2 pools and also hot-tubs that we frequently used. Very relaxing!
There were a lot of familes and couples but we never felt crowded and the staff always managed to accomodate everyone with chairs and umbrellas. Definite thumbs up!
The beach was beautiful! Again, the staff was there to assist with chairs and umbrellas.
We even saw dolphins in the water while relaxing on the beach.
The hotel offers a compliementary shuttle to different parts of the strip. We used that service to go to South Beach and dine in the evenings. It runs on a certain schedule so if you go later in the evening be prepared to pay for a taxi back to the hotel.
The only negative was that we thought the drinks (I drink wine) was rather pricey at $12 per glass but overall we were very happy with everything else. As a travel agent I would (and already have) reccommend to friends and my clients without hesitation. I good choice and value if you don't want to pay the prices for the South Beach hotels!
