“Great Hotel and Service!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

I had a wonderful time and stay at the Trump International!! My boyfriend and I went for the weekend of June 15th-18th it was our first time in Miami and the staff at the Trump were very kind and helpful. We were always greeted by name and whenever we would come back to the hotel our door of the car were opened for us by the staff. The room was very spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. The balcony was beautiful and had a ocean view which was great. Everyday the rooms were cleaned the towels replaced and the beds were turned down. Whenever we return to Miami this is going to be the hotel that we constantly return to!! The pool was great and large and it was a very nice crowd of people families, couples, and single people who were all kind to each other. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Miami!!!

Had a rough first day at this hotel...they had nothing that was included in our purchased package. But on day 2 we had the most amazing waitress Barbara!! She was so pleasant and helpful! We were so impressed with her we needed to compliment her to her boss. In comes Julio who was absolutely amazing in his own right. Between the two of them our experience went from disappointing to superb. The amenities are amazing and the beach is beautiful! Will definitely be back!

Wasnt overly impressed with the room - we had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite. Wasn't bad but just seemed a little out dated compared to what I expected to see. The pool and beach area, however, was incredible. They have everything set up right for guests, which would make me want to return to this property.

We arrived late to a super chilled (uncomfortably) oceanfront junior suite (more like ocean view since half the view is blocked by the very tall building next door). The rooms deco is pretty ordinary, relatively clean but dated. Bathrooms have a mix of beautiful marble and some ugly wallpaper that is starting to peel off. Room size is decent. Biggest complaint was the extremely thin walls that made early morning difficult with all the banging and kids running around!

The pool area is nice and spacious ... beach is ok. Lot's of seaweed in the area though but I doubt hotel can do much about that.

We mostly went out for food but we did try the breakfast buffet (Neomi's), occasional lunch by the poolside (Gili's) and dinner at the beach (Bella) ... all were just ok, nothing remarkable.

Overall a decent hotel but we expected more ... next time we are in south florida we will more likely opt for the much Acqualina.

We spent 5 nights at Trump International Beach Resort. We chose it because it was right on the beach.

TIBR is not close to South Beach, it's about a $35 taxi ride, but it is very close to Aventura Mall for shopping!

The stretch of high rise towers (including TIBR) overshadowing the beach along the Sunny Isles strip is somewhat unattractive and takes away from the natural beauty of the beach. It was disappointing to find after midday the beach is in shade due to the Towers.

The first night, to recover from jet lag, we ordered room service. The food (steaks in particular) was excellent.

We were there during "shoulder season" so the resort wasn't busy. We were well looked after by waiting staff at "Bella Beach" beachside restaurant and on the beach (where there were chairs, umbrellas and cocktails on offer).

Coming from Australia, we are used to just whacking down a towel on any chosen patch of sand (free of charge) so the rows of closely positioned chairs in a sectioned off part of the beach was a bit off-putting, given there was so much free space around. However, the beach is very "kid friendly" and the water is calm and shallow.

The pools were large and clean, but looked a little bit tacky with giant fake brown rocks.

The rooms were large and comfortable. The beds way too soft for my liking - the King bed dipped in the middle so you felt like you were hanging on to the edge trying not to "fall in". It was a bonus to see the mini kitchenette, washing machine and dryer, as we usually travel with our 4 kids so washing is a big issue!

Don't pay for the outrageous internet usage charges, we bought a personal mobile wifi with a $50 unlimited usage which lasts for a month, then whenever you go back to the States you can top it up with another $50 unlimited usage.

If you wanted to walk across the 6 lane road for dinner, you need to choose your crossing time carefully as there isn't any traffic lights up that end of the strip, but there are a few good restaurants to try.

Overall it was a pleasant stay, but I wouldn't call it a "resort". After paying a high price for the room it was disappointing that we then had to pay wifi usage and a "resort usage fee".

We stayed for a week at the hotel over spring break. We traveled with another family and decided on this hotel since it seemed to have lots of activities for the kids. While it's a nice hotel, it's not exactly what we expected, considering it's a Trump hotel and is considered luxury. The resort activities were very limited. The beach and pool are nice, but our kids like activities and the resort did not have many. The kids camp is small and intended for children under 5 years old. The hotel rooms are nice, very spacious, but not a lot of room for clothes and we stayed in a jr. suite. The area is nice. We ventured out to South Beach to walk Lincoln Ave, went to the Everglades, horse races and out to greater Fort Lauderdale. All in all it was a great trip, we just expected more from the resort.

This property is nice, but it is not exceptional. That could be overlooked if the concierge and lobby bar staff were not rude and condescending. Really too bad because the catering staff for a corporate function was exceptional and I would have used this property just for them until I encountered the "lobby" staff.
