“like your own condo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2012

It's like having your own condo. When we arrived with our friends we were supposed to be in a 3 bedroom condo....they didn't have any available so they gave us a 2 bedroom condo and a 1 bedroom condo at no extra charge. It's lovely to have a full kitchen and separate bedroom for the price of a regular hotel room...or even less. The balconies are lovely and the rooms are furnished nicely and it was clean. The pool is very nice. It's a far walk to the beach but it is doable. They even had a lovely playroom for toddlers.

We were excited to arrive here for our 4 night stay in Sunny Isles only to be disappointed from the moment we had arrived. We stayed here in Feb 2012 and we had booked a 3 bedroom condo in Sept 2011 and had paid in full and received confirmation of our reservation at that time. We walked into the unit only to realize it was a 2 bedroom they had given us. It took over 2 hours and multiple different "management" encounters and telephone discussions to find out they were not going to do ANYTHING to accommodate us (6 adults). They would not provide us with extra towels or blankets as they claimed they "did not have any." No one was apologetic for our situation nor would they accept responsibility for the situation we had been placed in which makes me wonder how often they get away with screwing people over. We were forced to stay here for our stay as all the other hotels in the area were totally booked up for the Saturday night as it was a holiday weekend, otherwise we would have left.
The pool area was also not great. There were plenty of lounge chairs available but the pool did not seem clean and it was heated to the temperature of a hot tub so it was not refreshing at all. The air conditioning unit in our condo was super loud and made for a sleepless night on the pull-out couch.
I would not stay here again and I would recommend for those that have a reservation here to call and confirm the room type you have booked prior to your arrival to make sure it is still available.

Let's begin by saying that this place is in desperate need of NEW MANAGEMENT.
The pictures posted were taken after I had a conversation with "Management" on the poor condition of the apartment. Lucky for them, we are only allowed to post six. But there is plenty more. I'll post them on their FB page.
The "Management" in this complex is broken and if no one steps up it will certainly continue to decline. As we stand today 02/21/2012, it remains the same.
The apartments are outdated and old. There is no food compactor on any of the units. The inside of the Dishwasher is yellow (thats how old). The air conditioning sounds like a 787 is warming up in your living-room.
Some units are being "remodeled" so you also get the occasional jack hammer here and there during the week and between work hours. Not the best for someone who works from home. Oh and "remodel" to them means pulling out the old countertops and replacing them with cheap granite and removing the carpet. Basically, slapping lipstick on the pig and calling it something else.
Noise and smells from the hallway easily flow into the apartments due to the lack of proper lining of the doors.
Premises are outdated and old. The gym is small so you would imagine that it be easy to maintain. Not here. It's old, dirty and falling apart. Everywhere else is okay but I haven't dared to walk around and really look either. Maintenance does it's best to keep it clean but it's not the best.
The billing department is exceptional. If your rent is not in by midnight on that 3rd day, YOU WILL BE CHARGED. They are quick to respond to that. (And here is where the disconnect happens.) If they would be as good at maintaining the place as they are at charging for it. This place would be perfect.

Was headed to Miami for a few weeks and needed a place to stay that wasn't outrageous. Did some research and found the Intracoastal Yacht Club which does short-term and long-term rentals. From the pictures and reviews I had seen it looked fine but upon arrival I found a much different story. The buildings are maintained terribly. Sure from the outside they look okay but the moment you step inside you noticed how incredibly dirty the floors are and how the place seems to be more of a cheap hotel rather then a residence. I am seriously questioning the thought process behind the folks even on TripAdvisor who gave a very good rating. Maybe I was there and just had a really bad experience but something tells me I am spot on. They are cheap for a reason - they don't take care of the building or the units and when something goes wrong there is basically no one to turn to for help.

Great 3 night stay at $132 per night.Wow! Booked a one bedroom and ended up with a 2 bedroom....yeah! Kiddos were happy to have their own beds. Bonus.

Large balcony, large Full size stocked kitchen, 2 big bathrooms, washer and dryer. Comfortable beds. My husband loved the gym. Large pool was not heated and a bit dirty but that did not stop my kids (just me).
Very secure building with valet parking and wifi INCLUDED! Grocery stores very close. Walk a few blocks to beach and restaurants. Location was great for us.....took RIB adventure boat tour from Duffys just across the waterway, and drove down Collins to check out South Beach.

This end of town is more family friendly and short drive to Bal Harbor Shops. No need to pay double for a tiny run down hotel in South Beach, book here if you want more than a place to lay your head.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the water way to watch the yachts.
