This was our second time visiting Jamaica. The first time we went to Dunn's River Falls...which is a must see/do! This time we went more inland to YS falls. Beautiful and far less commercialized! You can take a leisurely walk up wooden platforms and steps along side the falls. You may also wade into the pools of water at the bottom of the falls and locals will take pictures of you with your own camera. As well, near the top, you can swing off a rope into one of the deep pools of water and the bottom of one of the falls (we didn't do this...but it looked really fun!). There is also a zipline at YS falls.
After you finish walking beside the falls, you can come down and enjoy the two fresh water pools on site. Beautiful!
There is one gift shop that sells all kinds of souvenirs and beer and snacks (potato chips, etc)...it's a bit pricey...but nice.
All of the buildings on site are made of beautiful wood. It is a very well cared for attraction.
When you arrive at the location you are taken up to the falls on a cart pulled by a tractor. On the way you will see healthy looking cows and horses.
A fun trip!
