Cuisines: Steakhouse
Description: We are a traditional country pub situated right on the edge of the severn estuary. We serve bar meals downstairs on thursdays, fridays and saturdays along with our popular sunday lunch. We also have a steakhouse restaurant upstairs which opens on a friday and saturday night and serves "steak on a stone" which is a hot volcanic rock that cooks your steak to perfection at your table. This restaurant is strictly adult only because of the hot rock system.

“Excellent.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012 via mobile

Went with my team from work. The time we wanted to visit, we were told the steakhouse wasn't open but they were happy to open early to accommodate us! Very country pub inside which gave a cosy atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent and attentive, couldn't have been better, but the best thing is their amazing steak!! Served on a hot rock so you cook your steak yourself. Food was brilliant! Would definitely go again....several times!!

“Good traditional pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

The Lighthouse was one of those places we hadn't visited for many years, but a friend recommended we do so. It had changed hands and the layout had altered, however the atmosphere was still very much a community meeting place where the locals banter, play games and read newspapers and new faces are absorbed into the discussions. We returned for Sunday lunch which was really good and obviously very popular given the amount of people dining. The beers were a little disappointing, but the food and good company are worth experiencing.

Many thanks.
As you noticed we do get very busy on sunday lunchtimes and we're glad you enjoyed your time with us.
We are very lucky to have a wonderful group of locals/regulars who help create that wonderful atmosphere and i'm sure they will be pleased with your comments.
We hope to see you again soon.

“chips with chips”

*very* basic food - very basic price. We paid £21 for 4. Upstairs they have a steak house, which should be reviewed separately, but we didn't go.

“Best way to serve a steak I've seen.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Quality steaks served on a hot rock, so the cooking time is up to you! Rare? Medium? Well done? or anything inbetween? It really is your call.
Wine ok, service very good & a nice place to enjoy a steak.
