Stopped by for breakfast as had stayed the night at the local Travelodge and staff there recommended it. Good & accommodating service (they provided my daughter with cereal even though it wasn't explicitly on the menu). Waiter made us laugh when he explained that they had recently "lost the Marmite". Cooked breakfasts were good although the sausages were very rubbery with not a terribly high meat content I suspect.
However, upon leaving, the men in our party visited the gents toilets off the dining room and found transfers of Saddam Hussein and The Ayatollah Khomeini within the gents urinals, positioned for a direct hit. I reported to the Hotel Manager that we found them offensive, as would any Muslim visitors. To which he replied that he just thought they were funny, and that "hey "didn't get many Muslims in". Well, we were a partially Jewish party, but he probably didn't know that. Unfortunately the incitement of religious or racial hatred is a criminal act under the Racial & Religious Hatred Act 2006. Which applies in South Wales, just as it does in out hometown of London.
