“Struck Gold for Golden Wedding Celebrations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

A fabulous setting for a special family get together. All the rooms we stayed in had a 'wow' factor & Mum & Dad particularly enjoyed the luxury of the large jacuzzi bath accompanied by fantastic views over the estuary. The food was wonderful & Peter & Maureen were only too happy to adapt the menu to suit the guest’s dietary needs. Their attentive but unobtrusive service, left every-one feeling totally at ease, even in the rather grand surroundings of a Glandyfi Castle

Being met by Maureen and taken around this beautiful house was much more than we ever expected..It is a Castle yes ! but it was most of all friendly homely and very comfortable.Maureen made sure of that.Thank you all at Glendyfi Castle for making our stay Perfect.Hope to see you again soon >

What a wonderful way to spend time in this fairytale place. How amazing that Peter and Maureen had the tenacity and vision to save this beautiful building from the ravages of time, a wonderful achievement and one done with obvious love and passion.
Our stay was excellent in every way, the room was lovely and we wanted for nothing. The food was delicious and eaten in the relaxed atmosphere of the exquisite conservatory with the ever changing light on beautifully pointed stonework. The views across the estuary and the sound of the birds made our short stay perfect.
Would we go back? Without a doubt, cannot recommend highly enough, we even had perfect weather!

Glandyfi Castle is a place that dreams are made of. An extraordinary and stunning combination of ancient and modern. The old and the new are melded together with a style which is somehow both elegant and warm at the same time, with each of the many rooms beautifully and individually appointed, with an eye to detail which brings each room to life. The food was exquisite, from the afternoon tea that greeted us on arrival, through to our fabulous four course evening meal, and delicious breakfast. Set in its own grounds in an elevated private position the views from the Castle and it's gardens or fantastic too. It is the perfect retreat or hideaway for a romantic break, or a house party with a difference. Maureen and Peter are the heart of this amazing place with a wonderful combination of warm yet discreet hospitality which made us feel right at home, yet cosseted and private on our romantic getaway. Thank you Maureen and Peter for creating such a wonderful place and making our special stay so memorable!

Peter and Maureen have created a place which is truly magical. The castle is set in the most beautiful grounds with breathtaking views across the dyfi estuary. We stayed in the room named nightingale, exquisite. We were staying at the castle to partake in a medieval banquet. The food was amazing and the company warm and friendly. Breakfast the following day was again perfect. Please pay it a visit we will certainly be back.

What a wonderful way to celebrate a special birthday; Maureen, Pete, Tabbie and Sidney all worked so hard to ensure everything was perfect for my son's 30th birthday. The banquet was superb; each course a culinary treat, washed down with frothing cider and mead. The setting delightful; the service exemplary; altogether wonderful. I can't wait t return

Room Tip: A the rooms are so unique; they all have their special charm but Osprey is particularly gorgeous.
