This pub was a real surprise to us. It is located in a triangular are between two joining roads and it looked as though it would be very noisy from traffic. However, the rooms were located at the rear of the premises, up some steps and were very comfortable and very quiet. There was a good supply of tea and coffee in the rooms and shower gels and soaps were provided. The only thing I could not find was an electric shaver socket - not that I needed one for a shaver but for my electric toothbrush.
It also had a really good restaurant, with a wide choice of meals on offer and is, I believe, well used by the locals at the weekend. We had our evening meal there and enjoyed it very much. Breakfast at 8:00 am the following morning was equally good. I had the full English to set me up for the start of our Offa's Dyke walk.
