“Perfect romantic getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Whatever the weather, this is the perfect hideaway for a relaxing holiday. Renovated to a very high standard, comprehensively equipped and with stunning views this is a real taste of luxury.

Paula and Edward are very welcoming (despite us turning up early) and are very knowledgeable about the rich history of the farm and surrounding area. They obviously take great pride in this cottage, and rightly so.

We'd love to stay here again!

“Idyllic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Wonderful, peaceful rural location. The cottage itself has everything you need; very comfortable & romantic. And you could not wish for more helpful owners.
We will be returning for a longer stay next time.

“We didn't want to leave”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Laugharne Cottage for a long weekend during a fairly chilly April bank holiday.

On arrival, the cottage and its’ surroundings are breath-taking! Set in a beautiful part of West Wales I had never had the opportunity to visit. I was in awe by the glorious backdrop of vast countryside and an estuary which flowed behind the cottage offering a further soul-soothing view.

Paula & Edward were welcoming and frankly, perfect hosts from the start!
The cottage itself is delightful and has been renovated with care and attention to detail. The small finishing touches gives this country-retreat a real home-from-home feel. The kitchen has all the equipment you can need to create a loving homemade dinner! The wood fire and under-floor heating throughout is ideal for settling in for a weekend.

Outside the cottage, there is a working dairy farmhouse which is far enough away that you still have privacy - but don’t feel completely isolated from civilisation!

Shops and amenities were a short drive away, the petrol station was even closer and has a small selection of ready meals, breads, soups etc.

Thank you Paula & Edward for a wonderful stay.

“Everything about our stay was amazing.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

My husband and I booked Trefenty for our wedding anniversary and what a find this place is.
The cottage is full of character and history and is simply stunning. The grounds around the cottage are immaculate and the scenery is amazing.
Trefenty has recently been restored and the attention to detail inside and out deserves recognition.
The cottage had everything we needed and more. Was lovely and warm, very spacious and immaculately clean.
We prepared most of our own food and the kitchen was well equipped.
Arriving to flowers, champagne and chocolates was a lovely touch too.
You are nicely out in the country with peaceful surroundings, but yet there is plenty to do fairly close by such as restaurants, pubs. horse riding, cinema etc.
Paula and Edward were fantastic. Such lovely people and so helpful. They are more than happy to answer any questions.
I cannot recommend this place enough to be honest and cannot wait to return again this year with our 2 children.
10/10 for everything. I honestly cannot fault this place!

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

This cottage is full of character and has been wonderfully restored, offering a relaxing rural break with all modern comforts. We were wonderfully looked after during our stay by Paula who found the perfect balance on being on hand when we needed something without being obtrusive. We will definitely return.
