“Outstanding Bed and Breakfast”

This is an outstanding Bed and Breakfast. David and Eleanor the hosts have created 4 excellent bed and breakfast rooms to the side of their house. The rooms and bathrooms are first class, the welcome outstanding, and the breakfast of the highest quality.

The setting is close to the main road, but is set back so that it is very quiet, and there are some delightful walks to the river and around the pond. For wildlife watchers the delights of Skomer and the other Pembrokeshire islands are close by as well as Narberth a suprising local town with many delightful shops and several very good restaurants.

Overall this is the place to stay in this area and we would have no hesitation in returning.

Canaston Oaks is a new building, beautifully designed and with superb decor.
But that would be nothing without the wonderful welcome you get from Eleanor and David who don't seem to be able to do enough for their guests.
The breakfasts are superb - a friend of mine far better travelled than I am thinks they are the best anywhere.
Canaston Oaks itself has a pond and wildlife area plus walks by the river, not to mention nearby attractions like Blackpool Mill.
There's also easy access to the coast or inland to the Preseli mountains.
Don't mess about - just go there!

I've just come back from a weekend in Pembrokeshire, and have to mention the wonderful Canaston Oaks B&B. I'd booked Canaston Oaks as a surprise for my girlfriend, as it looked absolutely luxurious on their website, and I'm pleased to say that the reality didn't dissapoint.

We arrived in the afternoon, and the host Eleanor was out, but had left a note on the door to say that the key was in our room - The Alder. We wandered over, and were presented with an immaculate room. Lovely big pillows, crisp white linen sheets, a bottle of wine, fruit, and chocolates. A large widescreen TV with DVD player. Just about everything you could ever want. There were even hair straighteners which pleased my girlfriend no end!

The room itself had a private patio that looked out across fields, with a little tabel where you could enjoy a glass of wine while soaking up the country air. In the bathroom you had all the amenities you could ever want, and a lovely jacuzzi bath.

The hosts Eleanor and David were incredibly friendly, and I must mention the breakfasts. It was without a doubt the best breakfast I've had anywhere - and I've spent three years travelling for the British Foreign Office and have stayed in some very prestigious hotels. At Canaston Oaks, they cooked up a fantastic breakfast made fresh, with lovely local produce.

All in all, this is a very special place indeed. Yes, it may be a little more expensive than other B&B's in the area, but it's worth it if you want to really spoil yourself. It's also about 3 minutes from Oakwood Theme Park which is very convenient.
