“Perfect in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

From the moment we drove down the driveway to private off street parking, we were greeted with umbrellas (the rain soon cleared up to show off a beautiful sunny Wales day and the nicest cottage garden).
Every room is spotless and looks brand new while still remaining to hold onto a cosy, traditional village property.
The living area is very comfortable (helped along by pots of tea and cake on arrival!), our twin bedroom was spacious with room for luggage, cupboard space, bedside tables, dressing table and TV and the bathroom was modern with a great shower.
Breakfast was delicious on both mornings and I left the table with a very full and satisfied stomach.
Our host couldn't have been more genuine, friendly and helpful. If we needed any assistance we only had to pop downstairs to ask but at the same time given as much freedom to come and go as if it were our own private hotel room.
Fantastic B & B in a lovely part of Wales at a very decent price for the amazing service provided. Can't speak any more highly of it.
Noni :-)

Thanks, glad you had a good stay. You and the other guests for the wedding were a delight to have staying and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting you. Please stay in touch and let me know if you are in the area again- if only for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

My partner and I stayed here as we are moving to the area, and needed accomodation beforehand.
I've been trying to think of some constructive criticism to balance an otherwise faultless review, but haven't been able to think of anything negative about my stay. Nick and Gerri were very friendly and helpful, and the welcome cup of tea with bara brith on arrival went down very well. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice on the menu, and the room spacious, clean, and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the little extras like decently sized bottles of shower gel and shampoo in the ensuite instead of the usual sachets/ mini plastic bottles; and the supply of fresh cold milk from the fridge made a nice change from the usual UHT plastic.
I had previously stayed in other accommodation around this area, but wish I'd found this before, as I would certainly rate this as the best stay yet.

This is a top class B&B - nothing is too much trouble & breakfast to die for. We felt totally at home and everything we could want to know about the area were to hand - including which local pubs/restaurants were closed on Sundays & Mondays. Right in the town & on the bus route from Camarthan to Llanelli too,

What a great find. For this stage of the walk I needed to be in or near to Kidwelly and managed o find details of this B&B. The room was lovely, bright and clean with a great shower. The owners Nick and Gerri were lovely and could not do enough for you, Nick's breakfasts were fabulous with a choice of 5 breakfast choices. They have a lovely big lounge for guests where you can sit and do all of your Wi-Fi bits
Overall I could not fault it at all. Brilliant place and well recommended

Room Tip: All are nice so really not an issue whichever room you have

This being my first trip to Wales, I was immediately pleased with the accommodations, and even moreso with the wonderful and friendly hosts, Gerri and Nick. It was like staying with close family, and they made sure to make us feel welcome, and right at home.
The breakfasts were the best I've had in a long time, and the wonderful aromas of them being prepared made me spring out of bed in anticipation- even before my alarm clock went off!

I would highly recommend staying there to anyone visiting Kidwelly, as it made my vacation much more enjoyable and personable.

Thank you Nick and Gerri--you're the perfect hosts.

Best regards,
Pete Kidwell

My husband and I met my brother in Kidwelly to check out our roots and had the great good fortune to book with Gerri and Nick. We had emailed extensively beforehand so we already felt like we knew them when we arrived. They could not have been better or more accommodating hosts. Full of info about the surrounding areas with suggestions on day trips and restaurants, with free passes to Kidwelly Castle. The food was wonderful, especially the Welsh cakes! Our room was very comfortable with a nice size bathroom and a good bed. Clearly Nick and Gerri attract great guests because the people we met were interesting and fun and gave it a 'family' atmosphere. I think Chappie1955 and his wife were there with us and we especially enjoyed meeting them. We have already recommended this place to friends who may be there next year and hope they get to have the same great experience we did.

Kidwelly B&B is the best B&B that we've ever stayed at! Nick and Gerri couldn't be any more wonderful hosts, although they keep trying. They provide a wide choice of breakfast selections and serve breakfast whenever you request it. And Nick is a great cook. The B&B has been tastefully refurbished since they took ownership of it and it is very comfortable in all aspects. The B&B is located in the heart of the cute and historic village of Kidwelly, Wales.
