“What a great party !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012 via mobile

We booked a large table for 16 and we had our own private room the two girls who looked after us couldn't have been better fantastic food and service
We finished our meal and then went downstairs for a few drinks where we found lots of other diners and drinkers who where all in the party mood.
I would suggest that anyone who is visiting Ruthin to visit this little gem can't wait for our next visit in December

“Just amazing....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012 via mobile

Myself and my partner had decided to book at the myddelton after being recommended by a work collegue.
We simply could not believe the transformation of this business. We managed to get a table for the Friday evening and we decided on medallions of rump steak and my partner chose the pork accompanied with apple and sage fritters. Both we just amazing... The atmosphere, food, and service were just fantastic and we will definately return.. Can't wait!!

“Great for relaxed eating.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

A lovely warm welcome and excellent food. My friend and I went on a Thursday evening thinking we woud have no trouble getting a table but they were nearly fully booked! We had nibbles to start (great idea for those that dont want to go the whole 3 courses). Then chicken and I had a steak which was so full of taste it smooched its way around my mouth. Excellent service / attention to detail ~ I am definately going again.

“Restaurant in a Legendary Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Tucked in to the upstairs of a white-washed pub in a town square (said to be from the time of King Arthur) there is a gem of a restaurant. The interior is elegant and simple from the pub and lounge up to the central dining room of massive pitch black hand-hewn beams and plastered walls. Hurricane pedestal lamps glow as warm as the staff (all pros-no wannabe actors) and each table is a unique antique. You are treated to fresh, local fare, including sweet lamb chops dressed with a tomato relish, tender pork, fish, farm-raised poultry, steaks and more, served with a myriad of sauces, to impress the most finicky of carnivores. The vegetables, whether a side or entrée, braised or raw, are local, fresh and a savory pleasure to the palette. The price point is surprisingly reasonable, since the entrees are served with a cornucopia of side dish choices, inclusive, from to-die-for onion rings to potatoes and greens and more. The wine selections are exceptional, the bar fully stocked and the brand spanking new pub interior has remained a friendly village watering hole. We were so impressed that we ate there 2 out of 4 of our nights in town.
